Firmino has been pretty solid in Copa play. He should've been include on the WC squad last summer. I'm really thankful I had FuboTV this year because watching Bundesliga has been great. Firmino is a solid player. Can play as a center forward or on the left.

He can also play an attacking mid so his versatility will be very valuable for Rodgers. Loves to play vertical & surge ahead, great dribbler, & awesome first touch.

 I think most of his goals are off one touch...

Also a great defender, loves to tackle.

If he gets good service, he'll do great...

Coutinho & Firmino along with hopefully a healthy Sturridge?!?! Daaaaaamn... :wow:

For those that haven't watched Bundesliga, I think you're in for a treat when it hits fox this campaign. I just hope fox doesn't screw up the coverage...

Yo d3si d3si , we only refer to "Lester" City as @HEGGSY FC...

Real has got another thing coming if they think anyone is paying that exorbidant release clause . If they dont want to send Ramos our way, good, probably means we get to keep DDG for one more season.

From Marca,Real's mouthpiece

Florentino Perez is adamant that he won't indulge Ramos's demand for a contract worth €10 million after tax every season. The club has taken such a firm stand before in these situations. Mesut Ozil and Angel Di MarIa ended up joining Arsenal and Manchester United respectively after very similar wrangles: both are now earning in the region of €8m a year, far more than was on offer at the Bernabeu.

A colleague of Ramos' agent-brother told Football Espana

Right now, with everything that is happening, I see it too difficult for Sergio to continue in Madrid. He has become an emblem. There is little to prove what is being said about Sergio, which unfortunately is a lot.

There is manipulation, discrediting through unofficial spokesmen who behave like puppets, ensuring that Sergio doesn’t represent the badge, that he’s money-grabbing.

This is gonna be good  :nerd:.

On another note, these BVB dudes aren't serious at all. They make all this noise about wanting out only to ens up staying :smh:. Hummels,Reus and now Gundogan

I think Gundogan thought there was going to be a huge market for him & a large wage increase. I think clubs are scarred off by his back issues. I'm just speculating though... :rolleyes

DIdn't he just reject a PSG offer worth triple his wage though??

Alright, I will try to remember that one.

I hope you know that was posted in jest...

Momo - The psg offer of €12m a year is rumor... plus I'm speculating too... he allegedly only wanted to go to either Bayern or Barca... If I knew his back was ok, I'd be cool with him but that's a huge caveat...

- Liverpool have completed the signing of Brazil forward Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim in a £21.3m deal.

- Leicester have agreed a deal in principle to sign Stoke defender Robert Huth. However, personal terms are still to be agreed with the German, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the King Power Stadium, with the fee believed to be in the region of £3m.

- It seems Stoke striker Peter Crouch is sad to see defender Robert Huth leave the Britannia Stadium this summer for Leicester

- Chelsea are facing stiff competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester City for the signing of £14.2m rated FC Augsberg star Baba Rahman this summer

- Porto striker Jackson Martinez is set to move to Atletico Madrid this summer, according to the player's agent. Luiz Henrique Pompeo told Spanish newspaper AS the €35m transfer was tied up on Tuesday. “It was finalised today," Pompeo said. "We want to thank AC Milan for their interest right up to the end, we feel very honoured by it, but you can’t be in two places at once. “It’s a very big club, which has done important things in the league and in Europe. Jackson is going there also to achieve great things and to bring the best out of himself to become even better. That’s his dream and he’s very excited. He’s really happy.”

- According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid have held crunch talks with Sergio Ramos to keep him at the club. The report states that discussions between Ramos and the Spanish club’s president Florentino Perez has escalated in the last 24 hours to the point that Ramos now wants to express his desire to leave to join Manchester United. Sky Sports' Spanish expert Guillem Balague told us Manchester United must pay Sergio Ramos' €200m buy-out clause to sign the Real Madrid defender.

- Juventus have exercised the option to buy Argentine midfielder Roberto Pereyra from Udinese, the Serie A champions have announced.

- Borussia Dortmund holding midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has rejected the chance to join PSG this summer, claim Bild. The mega-rich Parisians offered to triple the Germany international's weekly wages to £8m a year, only for the player to opt to stay with the Bundesliga club instead.

- Following Liverpool's signing of Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim, speculation has mounted that move could now pave the way for forward Raheem Sterling's move away from Anfield. And Sky Sports understands Chelsea are interested in signing the England international, but the Blues will not pay more than £40m for the player, with Manchester City having already had a bid of that size rejected by the Merseysiders.

- Manchester United defender Phil Jones is set to put pen to paper on a contract extension at Old Trafford, says the Independent. And the England international will be rewarded for his impressive form at the back for the Red Devils last season by having his weekly wage packet increased to £80k a week.

That's the most important bit of transfer news I've read in years.

Gripping stuff really. Thanks for the update, I was wondering how he was taking the transfer.

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has questioned a potential swap deal with Real Madrid involving Sergio Ramos and David de Gea.

Writing on Twitter, the former Manchester United man responded to media reports that United could be lining up a cash-plus-De Gea bid for the Real Madrid defender.

He said: “These reports saying 40m plus DDG for Ramos?? Please no! Nothing [against] Ramos but it can’t be right.”

Sergio Ramos tells Real Madrid he wants to leave as Manchester United await
• Defender met club officials on Wednesday morning
• Deal involving goalkeeper David de Gea is a possibility

The Manchester United target Sergio Ramos has told Real Madrid that he wants to leave.

The defender held a meeting with Madrid’s chief executive José Ángel Sánchez at Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground on Wednesday morning at which he confirmed his intention to depart and was told that the club would listen to offers.

Although Madrid did not provide the standard response, which is to demand that any interested clubs meet the €180m (£128m) buyout clause, they are expected set the bar prohibitively high – initially at least.

Neither Ramos nor Real Madrid have made any public statement of intent but privately their positions are now clear. Neither side backed down on Wednesday morning

Madrid have made no move towards reconciliation or a renewed offer for Ramos to extend his contract, which currently expires in 2017, and nor did Ramos say that he was prepared to reopen negotiations.

The 29-year-old central defender has been at Real Madrid for 10 seasons since joining from Sevilla for €27m when he was still a teenager. He has played more than 400 games for Madrid and is their vice-captain.

Madrid’s willingness to entertain offers does represent some movement, and suggests that in truth they would not mind selling if the conditions were right, while the relationship between player and president Florentino Pérez makes peace improbable.

But a swift resolution is not expected and the outcome remains uncertain. Despite Manchester United informing them of their interest in Ramos and reports in Spain of them making a bid, Madrid are still briefing that they have had no offers for the central defender.

However, Madrid want the United goalkeeper David de Gea and have already had an initial bid believed to be in the region of €18m turned down, so it is not impossible for a deal to be worked out.

He changed the voting rules that make it very hard for other candidates to run like you have to have been a member for 20 years & either networth or access to cash... Perez's net worth isn't gozillianare status but being a construction magnate, banks would line up to loan him money. Those are the most notable rule changes I can remember.

I'm happy he'll be at the helm for a long time, I just hope Barca can get some leadership that's balanced in football & financial matters...

:smh: 3 Lions' U21 defense was preyed upon like fresh meat in prison just after lights out in the first half... 2-0 Italy...

Portugal vs Sweden U21 is tied 0-0...

'Arry has been the only consistent player for England. All them other dudes have really just been standing around in the games I've seen. Really poor shape, no movement, no awareness on offense or defense. If I'm not mistaken, England was one of the favored teams for the U21's right?
