Of course no 38 match campaign is ever decided on just 1 or 2 matches, but just saying the matches I'll remember most.

I don't even know if that midfield was that soft even without a true holding player, but for a team that was pegged to have too much depth, especially in the midfield, the chemistry just seemed to plummet when starters went down. Especially when just one man in Modric was out.

Agreed Modric is crucial to Real Madrid. He seemed to be the one player that could keep continuity from back to front. all the other midfielders are too offensive minded IMO. And Kroos has always been overrated to me. Very very skilled player but doesn't seem to have a big impact on the game. His stats are underwhelming to say the least.

Eliminated by Barca Twice and being in group stages with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Dortmund in their prime in previous years is so easy right? I don't even remember the last time Arsenal had a tough bracket. Monaco should just be a reminder that Arsenal isn't any better than Citeh in European play.

And yes Arsenal has more trophies and a deeper history but at this point and time, City is worth more due to our recent success.

Kun Aguero and Silva in form >
Sanchez, Cazorla/Ozil in form
all day everyday.

True. Arsenal has been gifted the group stages for years now.
If you would put arsenal where city have been these last years it would have got ugly.

Lol that's comical.... explain how City is a bigger club.
More money.

Citeh is still a small club.

They bought recent success, but they're still a small club. Small club mentality. Still couldn't fill their stadium on a CL night.

Arsenal are a bigger club than Citeh any day of the week.

One can't just use money as the measure of the size of the club.

You don't remember the last time Arsenal had a tough bracket? Look at their round of 16 past 4 years.Bayern, Bayern, AC Milan, Barcelona.

You still wouldn't make it out of your group.... You guys have been a failure in Europe and will continue, keep spending money and sacking managers that win you the league. Embarrassing.

Finally someone gets it..... It's just unfortunate it's a United supporter coming to my aid Hahhaa just playing can't wait for our fixture at OT on the 17th

Oh and **** Ronaldo's individual competition with Messi for goals, this dude better never take a free kick within 30 yards again when Kroos and Bale/James are all in the match.

And that missed penalty by him too. I know he's got alpha dog status and it would never happen, but something in me was saying he needs to let Bale take it. Don't know the stats, but he's been subpar from the spot this season.

I genuinely can't understand how Ronaldo is still taking FK's, and this is something I couldn't understand months ago and can't to this very day.

Only explanation is that he's a diva that'll get unsettled if he's given a reality check. For the good of the team, dude needs to check himself though.

What stats are you looking for out of Kroos man?

His role and influence isn't suppose to jump out at you.

I also think that his presence adds extra pressure and throws off other players. dude needs to just back the f up and away off of his teammates in dead ball situations for a while. Only thing that might work is that set piece where he drills it to Sergio Ramos.

lol yup 2006 Champions League final still haunts me. Don't mean to turn this into a who's bigger argument but I just believe Pep would be a great fit for Arsenal whenever Wenger steps down.

Except Wenger will NEVER step down. He's got the most comfortable job on the planet. He might even manage them when's he's in the grave, white walker status.

bein sports isnt reliable though and pep isnt leaving bayern unless he gets sacked, they paying him way too much

It's now been reported by NBC sports and some paper in Manchester. But yes, it hasn't come out the Horse's mouth. I'm stunned tho.

Congrats to Barça!!! damn shame for Real. After the first half of the season it looked like Real were unstoppable and Barca was in turmoil, complete 180 second half of the season. I predicted it before the season, also predicted Real wouldn't win one trophy. If they don't make it to the final, Carlo may be done. Klopp?

Goes to show you that it isn't how you start. It's how you finish.

The Greatest Manager Alive always said he never looked at the log until around January.

Cause it's only later during the "business end" of the battle does anything matter.

On the flip side of that coin, you may not win the league in start of the season, but you sure as hell can lose it

Woah woah woah...let me make this clear. I am not a man city fan. Hahaha
I was just debating.

Definitely. He moves the ball, controls the tempo and flow, tracks back when needs to, does all the nitty gritty things and makes the pass to the guy that will assist the goal.

In Kroos' defense if he was more attack minded and was always in the final third he'd getting more assists and goals but Real Madrid doesn't need that from him.

Pedro with the bicycle kick!!!

I hope he goes somewhere next season, he's not getting any burn anymore at Barca.
me and eiddyfouw eiddyfouw were discussing how severely underrated he is many pages ago

Bayern lost to Augsburg? :x
my same reaction when I seen the score :smh:

Crazy how Götze still rides the pine

Recent yes but a bigger club isn't based upon money, trophies and history are huge factors. You mention underachieving, right? How's city done in Europe with the squad they have and all the money invested? Arsenal will finish above them this season too, that's underachieving.

Keep finishing 4th and being content to be just content with a content manager who will never change. I'll do my best impression of Jose, but embarrassing is not winning the title in almost 11 or so years. :pimp:

Took you a billionaire owner to win your first title in forty something years or did you start supporting after all the top players came in? Fourth is an achievement when paying off a stadium, don't get that shot when you're going to finish 4th this season. What's your explanation for that?

Almost around that time but I was a fan when we had Adebayor, Robinho, Tevez and De Jong. I think that Adebayor goal against Arsenal is still fresh in the memories to some

We crumbled around the busy holiday season coming into the new year. Aguero hurt for a long stretch of the season didn't help and he may end up still getting the golden boot. Next year my dude, next year.
