 at Vermaelen just winning La Liga without playing, celebrating in his jersey and jeans.

Dodged a bullet on that one.

IM with PSK.. dont think its that close. Pep's teams would completely dismantle opponents, give this Enrique team another yr and you might see that but as of right now? Nah.. Pep's wins hands down

I think its closer than you think, what this Barça team does on the counter-attack now is ruthless. That Pep team didn't counter often. But for right now I'd give it to the Pep team overall. But if Barca continue this for the next year or two, it's going to be much more interesting. This "potential" and most likely treble is going to be something special, I don't think it's something to brush to the side against the Pep one's.

I love Messi playing on the wing and drifting in. I had doubts whether or not he wanted to play that role again before the season but he clearly doesn't mind anymore. Enrique brought it out, he unleashed the beast.

Statistically speaking, Enrique's team is better than Pep's 08-09 team but stats as we know only tell part of the problem. Both inherited lethargic teams but stylistically, Pep's rebuilding job was a lot bigger than Enique's by a long shot.

Socios went crazy when Pep sold off Ronaldinho, Deco, & Gianluca Zambrotta. He also basically showed Lilian Thuram the door. The only heralded purchase he made that year was purchasing Alves.

No one thought much of Pep's other signings Martin Caceres, Seydou Keita, Aleksandr Hleb, & a 19 year old oompa loompa in the making pique.

Pep's 08-09 Barca team took the #1 spot in Liga in week #9 & never relinquished the spot.

They didn't have to counter because they chocked the ish out of the opponent with possesion & relentless pressing. The opposition never held comfortable possession.

There really was a squad out there at the time that was as mentally focused as the 08-09 team.

Enrique's team doesn't relentlessly press like Pep's team did & Enrique's team still struggle against highly organised teams as they did against Atleti at the Calderon yesterday.

I honestly think Juve have a really good chance against Barca because of the defense they play & I fear Hannibal is going to get baited into doing something very foolish that might even result in losing the CL.

Is that real? Way unexpected if true ,he could seriously get the Real job if Carlo gets sacked like everyone's speculating.

I don't think that pic is legit. The lady next to him isn't his wife. She looks like a grand ma, Klopp's wife is a cougar for sure but not like that...

Congratulations to FC Barcelona. They have been fantastic! I enjoyed watching MSN.

- Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu says head coach Luis Enrique will not leave the club this summer.
- Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho rejected a potential return to Real Madrid as manager, according to Guillem Balague.
- David de Gea has not agreed terms with Real Madrid, according to Sky Sports News.
- de Gea is still deciding on whether to leave Manchester United for Real Madrid.
- Gary Neville thinks Manchester United should do all they can to sign Gareth Bale if David de Gea heads in the opposite direction to Real Madrid.
- Memphis Depay will undergo a medical today ahead of his agreed transfer to Manchester United.
- Chelsea youngster striker Izzy Brown who is set to make his debut against his former club West Brom today.

:nerd: Latest United rumor is LvG is targeting Valencia CB Nicolas Otamendi who has a release clause of £37 mill. Would be a much better buy than Hummels who I think will be an unmitigated disaster if he came to the Prem. Lim is keen on keeping Otamendi as he builds his club so it will be interesting to see how this develops. Otamendi is a very physical CB who loves to tackle & reads plays so well that he seemly intercepts passes at will.

:nerd: Klopp to bring some Turkish-Germans back to Fenerbahce with him? There's a ton of them in Germany...

Fenerbahce did come out today & dismissed the Klopp rumor though saying Ismail Kartal was their manager.

I prefer otamendi too from what little I've seen and read. Guillem also said he prefers a move to epl

Man what a turn around from Smalling tho.. Dude has really got his head outta his *** and started looking very composed on the ball .. I wonder if lvg I'll play him on the left if and when we bring in a rcb

Watching motd and wenger really just said they dominated the game completely.. Smh he is something else man

I've said it a lot in here but I really love Hererra man. What a player

The only problem with Hererra is that he is indeed a physical player but one someone plays him the way he plays them, he dives like a lil b***h.
