Can someone explain how mls playoffs work? The aggregate and away goal stuff lowkey confuses me

Also im glad donovan gets another chance ima try to make it to one of the championship games in LA

Aggregate scoring is simple. The total amount of goals scored over 2 games. The team with the most goals moves ahead and/or wins. In the event of a tie in goals scored, away goals are tiebreakers.

Is the final the same way tho?

well the final is one game so i assume its whoever scores the most goals in that one game

dont know why this question sounds funny

But actually it could be a draw through the first 90 mins. Then a draw through the 30 mins of extra time (overtime.) and then it's not who scores the most goals since it ended as a draw, but a penalty shoot out in which each converted penalty kick doesn't actually count as part of the goals tally.

Also if it were up to Barcelona, the final would be decided by which team had more possession.

I had no idea how the MLS playoffs work, if y'all just said - it's like champions league I wouldn't have asked about the final.

They've incorporated so much about American sports into the MLS (conferences, seeds, whatever else) I wouldn't have been surprised if the final was two games (home & away).

What is up with Seattles grass/turf?
its the artificial turf with the little rubber bits you see in indoor soccer places, and I believe the grounds keeping crew there try to rake it up so it has a nice pattern like a proper football pitch because typically for the Seahawks, it doesn't look like that....

but they don't seem to understand that it looks like ****.
I was looking at pics from the game and all the players there were using FG boots and not AG boots like I was expecting them to. By the way, natural grass all the way. I absolutely hate artificial surfaces. One of my local parks was shut down for about a year because they found some dangerous stuff on the football/soccer field. I've been doing some research, and those rubber bits contain harmful chemical and what not. They seem to lead to various illnesses including some types of cancer. :nerd:

Isco tiene tremenda calidad, el es un verdadero crack :pimp:

Ronnie showing them skills too...
tekkers :pimp:

this how Neymar be flopping

Man, wish I had youtube to learn these tricks when I was growing up honing my skills... I had to rely on the "Train with Kevin Keegan" articles in Shoot! magazine and "Gazza's soccer school" on VHS

Barca can't be serious with those jerseys.

Sport stays leaking next years kits so early. Those sources must be on point.

If they were serious about the current fluorescent magenta jerseys, they must be serious

I don't think that CW would look that bad on an actual shirt. It's mostly just the 2D cartoon rendering that makes it look horrible IMO

I just don't like the solid yellow front of the supposed away shirt & then the vert stripes in the back.

Any Star Wars fans that were excited about the Force Awakens trailer like me? Thought this was an amusing story... That pose in the storm trooper armor is hilarious.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright rejected as a Stormtrooper in Star Wars

View media item 1285072Here's how Ian Wright may have looked if he got his wish to feature in Star Wars.

No footballer has ever made a bad movie -- that's just an irrefutable fact -- and so it was only natural that director J.J. Abrams turned to seasoned screen legend Ian Wright to bolster his cast for the new Star Wars sequel, "Episode VII - The Force Awakens".

Wright revealed that he auditioned for a role in the new Star Wars movie but had to be knocked back when red tape and bureaucracy got in the way.

Speaking on his BBC 5 Live radio show, Wright revealed that he and a couple of his mates auditioned for roles as Stormtroopers in "The Force Awakens" only for the former Arsenal and Crystal Palace striker to be passed on for not being tall enough.

"I wanted to be a Stormtrooper in Star Wars," Wright said.

"But you have to be 5 foot 11 inches and I was too short (5 foot 9 inches) so two of my friends got to do it."

The world of cinema has been robbed once again. Just think, it could've been a sweaty and disorientated Ian Wright popping up in the middle of the desert 20 seconds into the teaser trailer had he worn his Cuban heels to the audition.

A real shame.

Quick question for you guys. Why do some European leagues have 20 teams in the 1st division whereas others have just 18?

For example, some leagues that only have 18 clubs in the top flight:
Bundesliga-Germany
Primeira Liga-Portugal
Eredivisie-Netherlands

20 club leagues in the top flight:
Premier League-England
La Liga-Spain
Ligue 1-France
