As I got ready for tonight's match...the power went out on my whole block. Smh

Now I'm stuck at a pub forced to watch the Pool match smh...

I am disappoint.

Prince of Dortmund. That speed, pace truly kills. Countless threatening runs in the final third on the left-side of Arsenal's defense in the first-half, and now Aubameyang secures the insurance goal.

I recognize Mkhtaryan is 25 with room for improvement, but he still feels a bit green with finishing in the attacking third against elite European competition. Despite bagging 2 goals in ten fixtures last campaign in European play.

Despite the score at half, RM is susceptible to getting caught out on the counter. Basel is a very competent side, and will likely earn a second if not third goal. Ancelotti can't believe in his heart that Madrid will win their 11th CL title with a guns blazing, heavily offensive approach. Bayern, Chelsea, among others are defensively mindful and responsible enough to stymie RM's attacking prowess.

Damn, nobody celebrates with James...is this dude even liked at RM?
Legit starting to feel for my man James

,no one seemed to give a damn that he scored.

Zenit and Basel were two unheralded, under the radar clubs I felt could make noise in their respective groups. Either Zenit or Leverkusen will get through Group C with Benfica. Wouldn't shock me if Basel unseated LFC to advance in B.

.

No kidding.

Idk, he can create the chances and stuff, just bad at finishing...

Look better in the bundesliga, hopefully he'll look better as the EUFA progresses.

Think it's because he has nothing to do with the goal besides tapping it in. Honestly Benzema is a bum for not scoring that.

The players aren't going to respect him until he proves himself, that's how it is at Real Madrid. I agree with what Mike said yesterday, James has to prove himself than he gets respect. He's got big shoes to fill.

Anyone seen Alexis today? :nerd:
It's like Sanchez is playing two steps slower than everyone else on Dortmund. Daydreaming about his girl on the pitch.

I judged Luka and Bale too quickly and harshly, so I'll reserve a decision on James until after this current campaign.

Although I did believe his value was inflated purely by a strong WC performance. We both watched J-Rod closely at Porto, don't think his talent or potential warrants the hefty price tag. Also was not happy about shipping off ADM. I understand the reluctance to double his wages, but his service and surging, threatening runs were invaluable to RM and Ronaldo's effectiveness.

That and the fact that he was basically swapped for Di Maria might explain what's looked like a pretty cold reception towards him, hoping he can prove the doubters wrong for his sake.
