^^^Can't be surprised if Bayern keep stealing all of Dortmund's star players. But 15th place is quite absurd, they're better than that.

La Liga is extremely competitive this year. The standings are so close. I think their is no doubt they're the best League in the world right now, followed by the Bundesliga.

Think 2 years ago I would have gotten a lot flack and criticism for that.

But right now, it's just the flat out truth. Bundesliga is debatable, La Liga is not.

I'm glad we didn't make playoffs. We would of got washed. Hopefully we don't sign 100 new players again in the off season
This. We had such a nice squad last year with incredible chemistry. Our defense needs a ton of work though. Ricketts ain't getting any younger. Maybe one more solid CB or ST would be nice. Our midfield is solid and should hopefully click better next year.

I cant believe Schalke is 12th in the tables too. And Bundesliga>BPL is really debatable. I say BPL 2nd based off of star power and the 4 big clubs. Bundesliga is still a one horse race.

If Valeri does indeed have a torn ACL, I don't see Portland's chances of a rebound next year as very high.

It's mathematically/scientifically proven. :smokin

Hate to beat a dead horse but... Gab Marcotti said the gap between #1 (Spain) & #2 (England) is the biggest gap since the coefficient has existed. Look how narrow it is between England & Germany.

One thing to note is La Liga has loads of youth talent in the young & older youth divisions so the cupboards will be full for a while. You can't say that about England. Germany has tons of youth product too.

Prem owes it success not only to foreign players but foreign coaches too. The English FA's idea to rebuild English football is St. Georges Park (& outlaw foreign players).

Truth be told, there is younger talent in England but the FA seems to be so poorly organised it's hard to not only recognize the talent & grow/nurture it properly.

Exactly, I'm not quite sure how at this present time anyone can think the EPL is still the number one league in the world. I don't even think it's close "talent wise" when it comes to the best league.

Money wise, of course the EPL teams (even the championship teams) are more valuable than the rest of the mid-level Spanish teams. But no chance they have better domestic players.

I wasn't far off saying the Bundesliga and the EPL are debatable for second, thanks for the chart Psk. I give the nod to Germany because like you said, much better domestic talent.

I would imagine we'll land a solid backup CB, but we need is a left back. Harrington sucks and if Villafana gets hurt I don't want to rely on him. We're going to be okay with the strikers I think; Adi and Urruti are streaky, but together they can manage to be reliable. And if they're not scoring our midfield can pick up the slack. Wallace came back on fire and hopefully Nagbe can translate some chances into goals next year.

If Valeri does indeed have a torn ACL, I don't see Portland's chances of a rebound next year as very high.
But, this. Valeri's the heart of the team and really the only one who was consistent through the season. Nagbe isn't living up to expectations and Wallace is just coming back from his own knee injury. Next season could be a disaster if the maestro is out for an extended period of time.

You can give me charts all day.. id still prefer to watch most EPL games over any other league, just find it more entertaining. This prolly has to do with the time i have invested in the league (following united).

Mascherano tho....:x i know he had a good WC but i didnt think he did all that well last yr with Barca. I hate seeing him play out of position too

United fans, ya'll want him back?

nah,we're good...
he's playing his heart out right now just to earn himself a contract with Sporting,or any other club for that matter...

if he comes back to Old Trafford he'll be that same inconsistent player they've had for so long... :x
