Torres is going to be a new man at Milan. Goal scoring machine again :pimp: Just needed a fresh start somewhere
This." I can see chelsea fans getting ticked off screaming why didn't he do this for us" In all honesty I only wanted him to fail in a Chelsea uniform after what he did to us.

Loic Remy huh...sounds good to me. Gives us a good second striker and a change of pace from what Costa provides.

This team has turned itself around in a few years time...from buying a washed up El Nino to this?

Also makes me wonder....what the hell is going on in Milan? Their taking steps backwards.

I don't like the move, it reminds me of Demba Ba and Victor Moses. Another player who will rot on the bench when Costa gets fit again. Hell get paid but I don't know if its a good move for his career

No one could have predicted El Nino would have flopped the way he did, guy was clearly that dude for Liverpool how could you say he was washed up

Because he sucked for Spain in the 20110 WC and was trash for Liverpool after the WC before we stupidly signed him.

I'm hearing Bony might sign for Chelsea

Lord knows we needed another striker behind Costa though. Remy should get some opportunities with all the various matches we play and we need to keep Costa fresh. He also bring something different from Ba, I think he'll get quite a few opportunities as a sub...let's just pray he doesn't go all Anelka on us

Remy doesn't care, so long as he gets paid. Next contract will probably be in Qatar or somewhere.

@SimonPeach Saphir Taider is packing his bags after just 23 days at #SaintsFC. I am told his season-long loan from Inter is to be cancelled.

SPORTING KC INK PARTNERSHIP DEAL WITH FLUMINENSE FC

Stemming from a preseason friendly back in February, Sporting Kansas City and Brazilian club Fluminense FC have entered into a “strategic partnership.”

The deal has been agreed upon through 2016 and will allow both clubs to “facilitate cooperation” for loans, transfers and other club and commercial opportunities, Sporting KC announced in a press release Friday.

“When we started the initial discussions of forming a partnership with a club outside of the United States, we were looking for a very specific set of qualities and opportunities,” Sporting KC manager Peter Vermes said in the release. “We did not want this to be a marketing ploy. We wanted this to be beneficial for both clubs on the business and technical side.”

Stipulations of the deal require Fluminense FC to loan at least one player to Sporting KC per MLS season, as well as loaning one player to Sporting KC’s USL PRO affiliates. In return, the American club will provide academy players, coaching, and brand influence.

“After meeting with Fluminense several times since the Disney Pro Soccer Classic in February, we realized that they were a perfect fit,” Vermes added. “We were aware of their club tradition and ability to produce world-class talent, but it was the common philosophy and vision shared between both clubs’ management that drove this partnership. We think there are many business practices that each club can share to better the other club, promoting a win-win scenario on and off the field. Through this partnership, we’ll be able to send players down to Brazil to gain additional experience and Fluminense will be able to do the same with us.”

The Fluminense FC youth academy has been well known for developing young talent over the years — especially defenders — with names like Rafael (Manchester United), Thiago Silva (Paris Saint-Germain), and Marcelo (Real Madrid) all having come from the club’s youth system.

“Player development, training opportunities and coaching education all feed into our core mission and this partnership with Fluminense FC will be of great benefit in all of these areas,” Sporting Club CEO Robb Heineman said. “This partnership will provide access to another level of curriculum and will continue to help us become the best developmental organization in the United States.”

“We continuously invested in our presence in the North American market over the last two years in search of a strategic partnership,” Fluminense president Peter Siemsen said. “I believe our goals and communication are very well aligned. We could not be any more pleased with this association for our brand.”

Sporting KC and Fluminense FC clubs first worked together in April when Sporting KC acquired defender Igor Juliao from the Brazilian side to fill one of its international roster spots. Juliao has played in 16 matches for the reigning MLS Cup champions in 2014, tallying one assist and three shots on goal under Vermes.

What do you make of the partnership between Sporting KC and Fluminense FC? Could the partnership strengthen Sporting KC’s youth system?

Real Madrid coming for Negredo??

Big clubs coming back for their youth products who blew up elsewhere??? I choose Daniel Sturridge!

But nah don't really think this is happening. 1. He's injured and 2. Pellegrini has stated he's not selling him. He's been pretty straight forward with transfers. Supposedly we were one of the teams with an outside shot of getting Falcao if this rumor turns out to be true,

I'm hearing Willy Carvalho and De Jong are next for United.

This is just typical of United, doing all of their business extremely late, this should have all been done early (including work permits smh) and players should have been training together for weeks now.

I really think they wanted to wait and see how/if vidal recovered.. now that he looks to still have problems they have switched to plans C and D. I want Vidal but Juve is crazy if they want that much for him. I would rather get De Jong and William and go after strootman in january.

all in all though that would give us some depth in Midfield with age on their side.

Yeah I think United desperately wanted to avoid another Hargreaves situation.

Seems like overkill.
But if Dzeko wants to move down to London and wear a different shade of blue...
