Good looks, @Mastamind89.

Is there any real reason why Real signed Navas? They keep being linked to a new keeper almost every week . You can't help but feel for him after his terrific form last season and during the WC only to now be condemned to watching Casillas from the bench. It must be like purgatory to him
Impulse signing. He was good for Levante and even better for Costa Rica in the WC. It's clear RM needs a replacement for "San Iker," but Navas is not the long-term solution. DDG might be.

Yeah it's turning out to be the typical Perez player du jour signing. Any reason why Navas wouldn't be a suitable replacement though? Last time I checked, I think he's only 27.

Has anyone been hearing those Messi rumors about his purported discontent? I usually wouldn't put that much weight into those but Messi himself made some pretty ambiguous comments about his future at Barca recently so there might be something to it. I just can't picture him in anything other than a blaugrana shirt.

You're correct. Keylor is 27-years-old. I mean, he signed a 6-year contract with RM. Don't love his discipline as a keeper, but he's shown to be acrobatic with strong reflexes.

The major question is if you're "El Capo" Carlo, do you feel comfortable marching Navas out with the first-team deep into CL? I don't.

The US could easily win the next world cup if the powers that be at the US soccer federation would leave politics out of it and stop trying to project an image

couldn't find a longer clip but when messi first walked up into the tunnel, shaking hands with everyone but pepe & ron. thought they were just going to ignore each other til the flip. Awkward

I'd probably trust him more than Casillas at the moment but I get your point,I just need them to stay the hell away from DDG

^you posted something that got deleted? Aaahh man mods be in here lurking ready to snipe someone.

I'm sure the mods would appreciate the effort to correct a mistake on a word that is expected to be censored tho

I told you to edit that

Something I never understood, you're allowed to use a curse as long as it looks like this "*****" (which readers still understand) but you're not allowed to if you spell the curse word incorrectly so it doesn't become censored.

Weird

Anyways, I said "Dat _____-_______" when I quoted that Ronaldo & Messi pic because of that ridiculous journalist that reported Ronaldo & Real Madrid players use that term in the locker room when they refer to Messi - which Ronaldo is now suing him over. Bunch of hogwash yellow journalism that I tried to poke fun at. My bad tho, once again.

Anybody watching Copa Sudamericana right now?
Today Atletico Nacional plays Sao Paulo.

Tomorrow is the Superclasico, Boca Juniors vs River Plate

man Truth-Serum has to be a troll
you should have seen the stupidity he was posting in the world cup thread

Dude is a troll man, it's hilarious tho.

Still y'all shouldn't respond to it. He's like the Alexis Lalas of this thread.

Yet here I was calling the winner before the tournament started while the majority was on the neymar/Brazil/messi/Belgium/ronaldo/Portugal hype train

I stand by what I say. The US could win the next world cup if the powers that be would let it happen. This burb sport mentality needs to be abolished. The federation, youth system needs to stop picking talent pool from the burbs. I'm out in the burbs. Most of these kids are buns (My Lil bro plays on a travel team so I see this with my own eyes when he travels to play in other states along the east coast). They're just playing cuz mommy and daddy want them to play and do something athletic. This is not where the talent is. There are plenty of kids in this country who are products of immigrants that can really play with the best of em. The US soccer federation needs to stop with the favoritism. The squad needs to be overhauled completely. You can't compete with piss poor players on the team like a Bradley, beckerman, Johansson (kid is buns it's laughable yet he somehow made it to Brazil)

Face it, the US soccer federation wants to promote a team with the stereotypical "all american" guys because the american public can "relate" to them more even if they suck at the sport. They don't want a team filled with Pablos, Giuseppes or whatever foreign name
