Harsh red?  Looked like he knew what he was doing...
Yeah, was definitely harsh imo. The still pic makes it look worse than real speed or even slow-mo. It was just handbags.

Having said that, Livermore should have got a 2nd yellow for a nasty foul on Mason shortly after, so guess it kinda evened itself out anyway (although we had equalized by then)
All of this

Why was the livermore tackle over looked?  It was late and from behind and took out the plant leg.  That was a nasty nasty challenge.  Wasn't even called a foul.

Erikson with a great strike though

.  Possession for possession's sake

Kinda glad man u won.  Wilshere should have been sent off for the head but.  How dumb can you be it wasn't even a foul by Fellani and you get up all angry for no reason in a big game and do something that stupid like you always do.  When are you going to grow up.  (looks at wayne rooney and realizes the answer is probably never) He was probably still mad about missing that absolute sitter earlier in the game.

Yaya saving the day.  The strike by Clichy...that touch by Fabianski

Got to watch the Eibar vs Madrid game off the dvr... So Carlo ops to play Isco in that deep role saying Sami was tired but Isco looked great post La Roja duties? :rolleyes Seems like Sami definitely on his way out (from the outside looking in).

Kudos to Rayo for not only beating Celta but for helping a local 85 year old lady who fell on hard times. The coaching staff & players are pulling together to pay for a new place for her to live & will embark on some fundraising plans involving their supporters to help this lady. She lives near the Estadio Vallecas (Rayo's stadium). :smokin

Kloop to Anfield?!?! :nerd: I love these rumors...

I don't think Wilshere was mad cause he thought Fellani fouled him, he was mad cause Fellani went down softly and Wilshire was called for a foul. Prolly was also mad because Fellani is one of the dirtiest players in the game, he should've been called for a foul which lead to the og. and he falls down like a baby wen the wind blows on him. I wish someone would give Fellani a taste of his own medicine and give him a mean elbow to the face.

Can you blame him for this season tho Fresco?

Or are you more of "those" Arsenal fans?

THe bulk of our issues this season are of course direct results of his poor decision making. Does he need to get fired RIGHT now? of course not.

I'd give him thru the end of the year to see what he can do to "fix" our problems. This game was NOT his fault though. And Jack getting injured, again not his fault.

IMO, we've been ravaged by injuries this season, and some players have just underperformed (Santi and Ramsey come to mind)... Not all of it is his fault... Our defensive shortcomings are squarely on AW, and i'd like to see how he addresses them in January. If we don't finish in the top 4, IMO, he has to go. Finding a quality manager will be a tough task.
You more committed than me?

I too cant put this loss on Arsene. I liked the players he picked and we were ready to go right form the off. The first 45 was the best performance of the season, our finishing was just really poor. (Wilshere squares that to Sanchez and I feel we run away with it today). Sadly we could see it coming with them escaping into halftime 0-0.

Frustrating stuff.
THIS. Couldn't of said it better.

Jack barely got his head anywhere near faillani. Dude flopped and was playing dirty all match. He def should've reacted in a cooler manner. IMO his form has been on the upside these last couple of weeks, and I think a goal was on the Horizon for us right before he got hurt.

That said, big CL clash this week, and a solid run of games into the holidays, should help determine if AW stays or not. Def dont think its gonna be even REMOTELY easy to fill his shoes.

How can Arsenal players not blame Arsene for the loss???? Yesterday the showed they are in desperate need of a defensive mid, a cb, and a rb. Those were all positions Arsenal have been needing to improve on for the last 3 season. What does Wenger do, he spends a **** oad on 2 wingers when that's the one and only are Arsenal have depth at.

@BFreshco, Arsene didn't get the players injured, but also didn't strengthen the squad to withstand injuries. If this was the first time the club was having so many players injured you could've kinda excused him. For the past 6 season now, Arsenal always goes through a period with tons of injuries during the winter. You would think be now that the manager would prepare for that.

I used to think that Arsene was one of the best managers in the world, not so much anymore. His stubbornness to adapt to the change in the game will always be the reason Arsenal never win. Arsenal will never win another trophy as long as Arsene is the manager of the club.

I agree Fresco, can't fire him mid season but it's time for something new once the season ends.

Psk, you like rumors? How about this one - Pep Guardiola to Arsenal next season. I think it'd be a fantastic move for Arsenal and the biggest challenge of Pep's career. If he found success at Arsenal there'd be no more questions about his tactics/career for the rest of time. He'd probably be knighted

I know fellani sucks and i don't like him at all...but there really wasn't much in the play for Jack to flip out about and put his team at risk of going down a man.

that's exactly why Jack flipped out. He barely touched Fellani yet the guy falls down like a cheat. Giroud looked like he was about to lose it on Di Maria for him trying to fake a injury at the end of injury time also.

Jack just needed a smoking break, he wasn't allowed one at halftime so he just spazzed out. It happens.

Seriously though, only English club I can see Pep messing with is United.

It's funny though how United had this whole thing where they don't want to be like other clubs bouncing manager to manager, but you just feel that LVG is not the guy long term and they'd get rid of him for a potential upgrade.

For the record, I said LvG wouldn't do well at United however I could still be proven wrong. He unlike what Moyes got, needs some time.

United are in a precarious position though. Any manager is kinda a fool for taking that job now. They just bought name players without regard to fitting a system. I can't see any manager coming in & having any kind of success without first shaping the roster to suit their needs.

The current personnel on United are extremely ill fitting & so miss match. That along with the defense & injuries are killing that squad.

That was what LVG was brought into do though.

Revamp the team and system, and he's currently doing that.

Honestly, I don't see enough of the method to his madness. He has enough veteran players who are in their prime that should prevent the type of losses they've experienced (despite the injuries). It's 1 thing if they're losing close, hard fought games but they've lost some games look fundamentally bad. I don't see the players taking the pitch with a clear understanding of what they're supposed to be doing. Defensively, the back 4 look almost (but not quite) as bad as the players Moyes had last campaign. Red Devil fans can't possibly see that. It looks a hot mess.

You can't possibly defend what you're seeing & think it's fundamentally better than what one saw under Moyes. Marginally better but not so if you look at the funds spent in the transfer market.

It's like you went to Ruth Chris only to be served Fridays...

BTW, in case anyone wants to take swipes about my beloved Barca... I'm just as critical about the side I follow... :rolleyes

I agree with this.

Also United on offense this season have looked pathetic. Considering how much firepower they have & bought, I was expecting more goals or at least a better flowing attack. The defensive issues, not surprising but I just expected more from LvG. :\

But hey, currently in 4th place.
