if you guys didnt hear, i guess city are doing a buy one get one free ticket for CSKA

that sparked this today

Yall just need better defenders. While teams signed the likes of Benatia and Mangala yall picked up Rojo and Shaw. Shaw will probably pan out but United needed a fix for the present. Always been skeptic of Rojo but oh well that's for United fans to worry about

Now I have calmed down I will give my reflection on last nights game:

- Januzaj is a big concern now, He seems to of developed an attitude like he has a given right to start and put very little effort in, I didn't like that at all, He is talented but he maybe needs a Loan move away to get minutes (and possible an attitude check)

- Falcao must start, Van Persie is done as a top class striker

- We actually played well going forward, just too many individual mistakes YET AGAIN

- Di Maria is wasted out wide, Even though he still played well, he is much better centrally

- Fellaini actually done well, Him and Blind were very good in the Central midfield

- Mata isn't going to make it at United, As much as I like the guy

I thought I was the only one who noticed this. He did NOT put in a shift at all. Looked lazy, made silly mistakes and lost the ball often, and didn't seem to have any fight in him. I would definitely drop him next match to put him in check. There's a difference in setting the U21 matches on fire and tearing up the first team Prem.

so, i think im over LvG you guys, this is absurd

I genuinely don't know how you can think this besides maybe just being impatient.

So far he has:

-brought back attacking football
-shipped out tons of dead weight
-brought in quality players
-implemented a philosophy, which you can actually see the players beginning to believe in and use
-managed to keep United 2points within CL spot, even though only having his defensive starting line for the first time 8 games into the season

You can't seriously think that by game 4/5/6/7 all the kinks will be worked out and United will be beasting. It simply doesn't work that way.

LvG only wanted Hummels.

as for Rojo,he'll improve for sure...
getting used the pace and physicality of the EPL was always gonna be difficult for defenders like him anyway...
he's pretty good on one-on-one situations, just the awareness that he needs to work on...
and I'm quite sure the language barrier is a factor as well...

This.
Van Gaal is on a three-year contract. It might even take that long before Utd can challenge for all honours again.

but I gotta agree on JJ Goon JJ Goon opinion on Mata though...
he hasn't done anything significant in the last 2 matches to suggest that he can fill in that number 10 role ahead of Rooney...

On a different note that's been discussed in here...

Eiddy might be able to shine some more on this...

5 years... 10 months + house-arrest... really??? WTF.

I think there is something to be said about being a young pro footballer in England & young pro athletes in general. They get caught up in the lifestyle of being a pro athlete rather than being a pro athlete.

These young guys have seen the likes of Jordan, Ronaldo, etc & see the flashy commercials, the paparazzi pics of their glamorous lives, etc. What they don't pay attention to is how much they work out & how hard they work on every aspect of their games. The first to practice & the last to leave. The hustle, the drive, etc.

I'm in the midst of trying to teach my son about working hard & hustling all the time & how important it is not only in soccer but in life in general. I always bring up the technical proficiency of a Ronaldo & the hustle/drive/sheer determination of Ji Sung Park or Puyols...

I always show him this vid of Park at PSV & tell him he needs to work tirelessly like this on & off the pitch.

I'm not sure how it is where you guys live, but I know a lot of better American athletes would get introduced to the sport where I am if it weren't a "Fall sport" and competing with football

It should be mandated that it's a Spring sport everywhere and the pool of players and talent will grow.
did dis dude just say dis?

I know in Long Island at least that a lot of the top athletes here would give it a go and maybe fall in love with the game and eventually drop football altogether if it weren't competing with Football in the Fall for high school teams.

Football players here get ******* b, not soccer players.
Late reply, but football and American football have always been fall sports.

Miami Central, Miami Northwestern, and Booker T Washington are high schools around here with powerhouse American football teams. And no not all the American football players got all the broads, you sound ignorant.

Toronto FC spen $100M in the offseason and still missed the playoffs

:smh:
@quik1987 is that you?

:x Check out vid footage of this brawl that occurred Friday in the Argentinian 3rd division when Deportivo Roca hosted rival Cipolletti... Forward to the 2.54 mark when the foul occurred. The melee ensues thereafter. Brawl & 12 red cards later, the match was stopped. :smh:

Man I've heard some stories about the madness that ensues at matches in some of the South American lower divisions.
please share these stories with us

Funny how some names show up when United is playing more than when their own team is playing :nerd:
why don't you @ him though?

I think it was 2-3 years ago during a Boca Jr vs River Plate classico where some Boca Jr supporters killed 2 security guards after River Plate scored.

Quilmes has 2 factions of their own supporters that war with each other...

One could argue that these Barra Brava are more violent than the Italian Ultras...

Well.... :smh:

The state properly messed up the case and dropped the ball with the evidence tampering etc.

Then because emotions were high, they went for the murder charge (I always said from the beginning they should have went for homicide, cause that was pretty much guaranteed), but they wanted that pre-meditated aspect which would guarantee football numbers with guys like this...

So once the pre-meditated charge fell flat, they were left with culpable homicide which in SA, there's no minimum sentence for and it's basically at the judges discretion. What was on his side, was the fact that he's disabled, cause that was used as a basis for him not being able to stay in prison for long.

Like I said in the other thread, he'll be out before next summer, straight into a Range/S-Class and go into business. If any of you actually believe the media reports that the family has spent all their money on this trial, you've been lied to. He basically got away with killing her.

:x Say it ain't so Ander... Translated using Google translator for Marca.com.

Ander Herrera also received money from Agapito
The banking cash trail allegedly used to rig the Levante-Zaragoza aiming Primary form eight players and Aguirre

The noose on the money allegedly used to rig the Levante-Zaragoza in the 2010-11 season specifically narrow in those players who, according to research, received income in their accounts by the president Agapito Iglesias, and then returned to president.

Right now the investigation is and focus on at least eight players the whole hand then coach Javier Aguirre. The presence of one of the stars of Manchester United, Ander Herrera, who played that game and is listed as one of those who have to answer for these bank transactions, despite not having come to declare the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor these days as some of their peers.

In the same situation are other players like Leo Ponzio (one of the captains, as Gabi), which reside in Argentina has not had to go, like the current Japan coach Javier Aguirre, or HJK Finnish goalkeeper Helsinfi Toni Doblas. All said they had gone as if they had resided in Spain, although not compulsory. At least not yet at this stage of the investigation. They will have to do it later, when the case should go to judicialice and testify.

If necessary, the Office will request letters rogatory to be the courts of the countries where they reside, the obliging assist players who are called.

In line Gabi
defense of those who have gone through so far Anticorruption absolutely resembles that used by Gabi form: not deny entry than Agapito Iglesias said he was a cousin, but explain that it is not some cash and returned the same amount admitted, within a few hours.

None of them has acknowledged knowing what was going to use Mr. Iglesias that huge amount of cash. Many suspected that it was a personal transaction of the agent related to the imminent entry of Real Zaragoza in bankruptcy.

The case is about to pass into the hands of the courts of Valencia, where the complaint is formalized and start the final trial.
