Helps when you're up a goal. At 0-0 you risk getting pulled, aka swagotelli a couple years back with the pirouette backheel

Mehhh, thats debatable.

If you're one of the few players who've mastered the art (Di Maria, Quaresma, Lamela, etc) you shouldn't be punished for taking a rabona if your weak foot is that bad. Lamela was confident he'd put it on target, I'm sure he's been doing that for a long time now.

I guess it'd depend on the manager tho.

What's funny was that was a preseason game against the LA Galaxy and Mancini wasn't having any of it. Lamela did this in the Europa League :pimp: I bet the media would of mocked it pretty badly if he mjssed.

Nah the scoreline definitely helped at the time.

Manager would see that as him gaining his confidence.

Granted Potti wouldn't have subbed him off immediately like Mancini x Balo, but questions would have been asked like why didn't he play an assist (Ade looked in a good position) instead of being audaciously selfish.

You know the story, Hero when you get it right, Villain when you get it wrong, especially at 0-0 or down a goal or two.

The former Inter owner was given the role last year after selling his majority share of the Serie A club to Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir.
His son Angelomario has resigned his position as vice-president, while board members Rinaldo Ghelfi and Alberto Manzonetto have also quit.
Moratti's company Internazionale Holding Sr retains a 29.5% stake in the Italian club.

Or why didn't you convert the simple training ground finish.

Not that Pochettino wouldn't have had something to say to Lamella if he had missed but at the end of the day, I gotta imagine most managers understand something like that isn't always a conscious decision, sometimes it's something you just do and all praise be to the players that do it.  There's something pure about Lemela's goal unlike the Balotelli pirouette which was straight up showboating.

But yea though Lamela's self belief on a hundred trillion.

ice city fc ice city fc Let's revisit this moment of madness

Another take on Balo's pirouette...

Granted, I see what the video is trying to say about him thinking he's offside, but he should play the whistle and at least give a real shot on goal just incase he didn't hear what he thought he did.

It was mentioned, but it got swallowed up in posts cause Chelsea, Arsenal, Citeh and I think Madrid were all playing that day, around the same time.

I mean, if you think about it... he's got no opposite-foot!  Limited skills!
