I enjoy going to the biggest forum of certain teams in any sport and reading the fallout after a crushing defeat. Their disgust brings me happiness.

The Real Madrid coach looks set to hand the Manchester United loanee his first start since joining the club as the Frenchman continues to struggle in front of goal.

Carlo Ancelotti has hinted that Karim Benzema is set to be dropped for Real Madrid 's midweek clash withElche , with Javier Hernandez expected to take his place up front.

The French striker has scored just twice in 637 competitive minutes this season, while Manchester United loanee has now scored the same amount in just 50 minutes since arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu following his double off the bench in Saturday's 8-2 win over Deportivo La Coruna.

And Ancelotti has hinted the Mexico international could be rewarded for his excellent display with a start Tuesday.

"If tomorrow Karim does not play, he will understand," Ancelotti told reporters Monday. "Against Deportivo he played very well.

"We will change something tomorrow," he added evasively when asked if Hernandez would start ahead of Benzema on Tuesday. "For me it was important that Chicharito scored. He struck twice and has confidence now. We felt comfortable with him in our team. I do not look to who scores and who doesn't score, I look how effective my overall attack is. Our attack is much better right now, we just need to improve our defensive play. I think we are better than last year."

Ancelotti also confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo would start in Tuesday's Liga game as he "is on a hot streak" and has no fitness issues right now.

Pepe, however, will not play a part at the Santiago Bernabeu, while Sergio Ramos is 50/50 after missing out on Monday morning's training session.

Obviously there's a long way to go, but it's kind of crazy to think that Chich couldn't get off the bench for Man U and now can potentially be Madrid's number 9.

And a reigning CL champ Madrid at that.

Really impressed with Fernandinho and Mangala from yesterday. Same with Kompany. City's defense is very athletic and strong.

Cicha could just be starting because Real Madrid played two days ago and it's the perfect time to give him a shot. I don't know if I'd read that much into it. Know Benz is struggling but I doubt he'll be benched throughout the season. Chicha will def have his opportunities tho and I wouldn't be surprised if Real sign him.

Someone said it in here before "Benzema is not striker Real Madrid fans want, but he's the one they need".

Idk man to me Benz has never been clinical enough, despite his good CL record.

But that scoring record is also why I can't see him getting displaced for matches in Europe as a starter, unless there's ever a blockbuster type signing at striker.

Jorge mendes makes guys like drew rosenhaus (nfl agent) and scott boras (mlb agent) look like amateurs lol.

wonder how much dude is making

 Real Madrid won a defamation suit against a Catalan TV station for running a segment comparing Madrid players to hyenas. The judgement was for €20k, Madrid was seeking €6 mil..

Its a league cup game, perfect time for him to start. As should Ospina. Really want to see him get some League PT soon.

The youth should make up a good chunk of the line up tonite vs Southampton, with Podolski and Campbell prolly getting some burn too.

I doubt Wenger is putting much stock/effort/priority in this comp.

Yeah I mean no one expecting the PL starters tonight. But damn when I saw 556 days I was like :wow:

Gotta respect him for not giving up his dreams even though injuries have done their best to prevent those dreams.

Why are a lot of teams having fullbacks push up so high when their team doesn't even have possession (or established possession)? I saw it a lot this past weekend with Liverpool, Arsenal, & United? Holding mids seem to be a real problem also.

Blind didn't look so good against heggsy heggsy FC, matter of fact he got trampled on. I think he'll do fine in the Prem because I put more of the blame on LvG & his tactics/formation (again). He left his team really vulnerable & not to mention his substitutions...

Blind switched positions with Rooney quite a lot, and it didn't do him any favors. He was pressing really high up, when really he should have been playing a lot deeper where he shines. This is part of LVG's idea of dropping Rooney into the midfield. While I appreciate Rooney's work ethic anywhere on the pitch, I'm not sure how he'll flourish deep in the mid-field.

I hate seeing coaches being slaves to their coaching dogma (I include Pep in there too). It's all the established coaches that keep trying to stay the course & not making the right or necessary in game changes to what the opposition is doing. It's really kinda sad to see these managers stay the course. Players are getting reamed on message boards & such but really a lot of the blame needs to rest on the shoulders of the managers...

One of my favorite players from those Milan teams. Dude is always a loose cannon, didn't he try to fight a Spurs coach?
