As a fan I'm not complaining. Just saying it's pretty outrageous that they spend, and are allowed to spend that much much money when they have a huge debt. Same thing for other clubs by the way.
I was being sarcastic fam. I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with you.

But when a team wants to actually run like a competent, responsible, and profitable club, they get called "Cheap".

People quickly (and conveniently) forget Portsmouth, Wolves, and Leeds. SMH.

Probably more

I know they have lots of debt, but it's not gonna stop them spending.

Yea its like 400m pounds lol. Being that much in debt actually limits how much they can spend. A reason why Falco was loaned n not bought out. United couldn't afford to buy him under FFP

Falcao was loaned first to access his recovery from his knee injury, for the season, if he has a good year of recovery and no further knee issues, the option to buy is available. United is in no danger of breaching FFP rules from what I've read.

"United are, by far, the biggest earners in English football, and they make big ‘headline’ profits. The latest available full accounts, for 2012-13, showed income of £363m and gross profit £146m, albeit before debt servicing."

"For 2013-14, United’s income will have been around £430m, with big profits. In 2014-15, they are expected to have total income of £500m or more, by which time they should have recaptured their title of the richest club in the world (measured by income) from Real Madrid and Barcelona."

The last set of financial accounts, for example, showed annual debt-related payments were an eye-watering £71m for the year in interest, debt restructuring and repayments. That’s £1.37m a week, or £195,000 a day, or £8,127 every hour.
But that still leaves tens of millions spare. That ‘spare’ sum is growing by the year. Total debt is down from around £550m back then to ‘only' £389m and falling.
United’s accounts also show there has been a ‘spare’ pot of cash of around £100m in the bank for the past few years, available to be spent. It’s being spent now."

People really seem to forget just how profitable United is. FFP should never have an effect on United nor should it have an effect on Real or Barca. They are Profit giants off the field.

Since I've been bored stuck in a workshop...I decided to read up even further about this Falcao deal....and I'm still inclined to believe that United wanted to assess his recovery before signing the deal.

However the more I've read about this deal, the more grey it becomes, as it seems the dataset just isn't complete.

Everyone is making assumptions on his wages, and how things will be structured. There's a lot to take into consideration (Falcao at Monaco doesn't pay tax, signed to United he will have to pay tax; paycut? Monaco's FFP is more a concern than United's since Monaco actually want the money to be split over 2 years instead of one cause it will help their profits by up to 20m, United do earn a fortune but there's the drop in CL money, United's new commercial deals kicking in bringing in a small country's GDP etc)

Essentially, until the entire details of the deal are put forward (expect that next season when his actual transfer would take place), we'll basically be making educated guesses based on a limited dataset.

Eiddy, I don't and never doubted how profitable United is. The problem with United started when the Glazers family took over the club. If its wasn't for them, United would prolly never have to think about FFP. Also, I can't see Monaco loaning out Falco without an agreement already place to purchase him. Why risk him get injured on loan and have his value drastically decline

In regards to the Falcao here is my take on it:

- We have effectively signed him, However for FFP on Monaco's end he will spend the 1st season on loan, Whether we could then decide to not buy him after this loan hasn't been made clear, My guess is we will be obliged to sign him regardless

- Regarding the wage \ tax issue, From what I know about the Tax rules here, he will be working under UK regulations and paid through Manchester United then he will be charged tax on the wages, To avoid tax he would need to claim Monaco as his residency (like Lewis Hamilton does with Switzerland), But that way he couldn't work in England as that would be committing fraud

However this deal is all set up by Jorge Mendes who is a very very intelligent man so nothing would surprise me

Love them Jerseys

Antidope would love the sleeved jerseys

. But I do actually like wearing futbol kits better than basketball jersey's because they fit a hell of a lot better on me.

Finally!

@ManUtdStuff: Marcos Rojo has finally obtained his work permit and will be available for selection in the game against QPR. [fox sports]

About time :smokin

The Nuggets,Spurs,Clips and Raptors ones are my favorites from all those nba shirts.

Apparently LVG is planning a huge £60m bid for Pogba next summer to bring him back to OT and speaking of former United stars returning,Ronaldo has once again reiterated that he'd love to return to OT one day.

Yo Coupe, Me and Prettyboy are in the UK, can we not try? :smokin :nerd:

Nope to close to Portugal, she visits so it's a risk I can't take. Honestly tho y'all wouldn't have a shot. I don't think she likes English folks, sometching about being toopasty and having bad teeth.

I'll have you know my teeth are good and I'm not pasty.

Can't comment on Prettyboy

With all this talk about Liverpool closing in on Valdes, why did Barca let him go again?

I was kidding Eiddy lol, I knew what you meant. Just poking fun at our different vocab. Workshop in the States is usually an elective class in high school where we make things out of wood.
