I play pickup soccer with fat older dudes all the time and they have the most foot skills most of the time lol. may not beat you with pace but their touch and shooting are on point

Was gonna say this, play indoor against a lot of older dudes and they know how to move off the ball to limit the running they have to do and their passing and communication are on point too. One of my leagues has been dominated by a team of 40 yr old dudes , a few looking like couch potatoes.

It's being reported in Spain that PSG will announce di Maria's transfer for a whopping €75 mill x). I know the silly season is still in effect but damn, that's a lot of dough for a winger.

I wonder where Kagawa will end up? Atletico is the latest rumor. Would love to see him back at Dortmund playing under Klopp again.

See he always confuses me, he looks overweight but I've seen pics of him and he looks ripped fat. From what I've seen, he doesn't really have a couch potato physique.

Gex, early in his career he looked wide bodied like Robert Traylor but had some definition. As he's gotten older, he's lost that & kinda gotten rotund. Dude can still move though & could outplay any of us...

Bit of football talk from yesterday's Real UTD game, Zaha didn't have the best game. Really wondering what the future holds for him, tough spot for him. Young has been pretty good so far. Bale will cement his status this year in la liga.

Bale cemented his status last year as far as I'm concerned. The exclamation point was that goal in the King's Cup last campaign where he ran over Bartra... I actually think there will be some struggle for him this year as RM try to figure out how all the new players will fit in, especially if Falcao ends up coming... I also have a feeling you won't see too much of Ronnie in the first portion of the upcoming campaign & some of the middle portions too...

Why do you say that about ronnie? I dont see bale struggling at all as his place on that wing is cemented.

rook , I wrote about it in the old footy thread. Ronnie has tendinosis. Unlike tendentious where there is inflammation of the tendon(s), tendinosis is a cellular degeneration of the tendon’s collagen due to untreated injuries & overuse. One of the treatments required for this will be to rest for periods of time. He won't be able to be the work horse that he's been at least for this campaign.

I don't think Bale will struggle per say, it's getting all the new players to gel especially if Falcao comes over. Not everyone is going to be able to score when they want.
