Pep is a punk
Ibra is somewhere having a laugh at this. People have been tweeting his quotes

But can we talk about the Lord, our savior, Thierry Henry :pimp:

You guys love to jump at the chance to bash Pep & Barca whenever you get the chance...

Coupe "Jose would have the audicity to look that childish". Really? You as much a Jose apologist as I am one for Pep. Let's not forget Jose trying to poke out Tito's (RIP) eye when he wasn't even looking...

There was no reason for the challenges that came from Johnson & Alonso especially since it resulted in Schweinsteiger injuring his ankle.

Pep was a poor sport for not shaking the hand though... Inexcusable.

Edit - I guess at some point after the game they hashed it out.

Oh no, don't get it twisted. Jose would def do something like Pep did last night, just not against the MLS All-Stars in an exhibition match

But you're def sounding like the only apologist in here right now bro

Pep straight up looked and acted like a punk last night in a god damn ALL-STAR game. Think about that for two seconds, WTF was that.

mastamind89 mastamind89 like going into most Porto seasons, I have no idea what to expect with the amount of newcomers. It'll be exciting tho!

Oh, I'll admit I love Pep. He was my favorite player on the Cruyff squad when I started watching footy in the early 90s.

Pep & Jose are the same exact "animal".

I'd be pissed too if I were Pep especially if there was an arrangement before the game but Pep should've shook Porter's hand & them gave him the riot act.

I understand the "agreement" thing.

But Porter is going into the game with no tactics, no gameplan, and barely any control of the situation. He's putting in different starting XI's at half-time, he's trying to give everyone a chance to play - it's not his fault some idiot got carried away (which happens in football every game) and fouled Schwein.

Being that it wasn't remotely his fault he still apologized to Pep and Pep still walked away like a little school girl. This situation is more funny/entertaining to me. Maybe Pep just doesn't understand the concept of what an All-Star game is? Maybe somebody should have informed him -

But it was soo :x

How did Bravo look?

To me, Bravo never really seemed like he had the quality required for a team like Barcelona.

Being a fan of La Liga, I've quite familiar with Bravo from his time at Real Sociedad. He's capable of some great saves but he's also capable of equally great mistakes. He's also not very strong in the air. I think Barca got him to be the veteran back up as I think ter Stegen is the clear #1 keeper.

Forgot to mention that Bartra had a very strong showing yesterday. Overall, the team still looks to be finding it's legs & fitness.

Looks like Barca has stopped trying for Cuadrado as his €50 mill is a little too steep so I guess Alves stays to finish out the final year of his contract.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look, I know this is the silly season but Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport says that Roma will sell Mehdi Benatia for €35 mill & even have a replacement lined up to take his place should he leave in Olympiako' Kostas Manolas.

If this is true, what the heck are Zubi & co waiting for!?!?!??! That's market value for a great CB & for my money Benatia might arguably be the best CB out there right now... He's never had the drop off in play like Hummels, Thiago Silva, & others have had...

you got any idea/guesses on what the Galaxy's announcement could be today at 2 pm??? Sacha already tweeted out he hasn't signed with LA.....

Landon Donovan is retiring.

I kinda lost respect for son after his commentary about the USMNT games ... he was od salty

Damn Twellman was grinning and talking about breaking a story yesterday like it was gonna be good news  .

Welp..... I guess the Galaxy will finally have a DP slot open :nerd:

Idk if my heart can handle it if Robbie Keane decides to call it a career too |I

I guess Landon's lack of desire showed in training leading up to the WC. You have to really give it your all when you play at that level. It requires not only physical preparation but equally mental too...

I've never been a fan of his, but he can retire knowing he had a great career.

He most likely will do tv punditry, but he's horrible at it. His persona & demeanor on TV is terrible... :smh:

Vid from LA Galaxy & Landon's letter to fans.

After careful deliberation and after many conversations with those closest to me, I have decided that this will be my last season as a professional soccer player.

I don’t write these words lightly and this day carries mixed emotions for me. I am sad to leave a profession that has brought me so much joy. I will miss all of the teammates who helped me create so many incredible memories on-the-field, and who I have shared many wonderful experiences with off-the-field. I will miss my coaches, at both the club and national team levels, who have helped me develop throughout my career and helped make me the player I am today. However, after spending half my life as a professional soccer player, I also am excited to begin a new chapter and pursue other opportunities that will challenge me and allow me to grow as a person.

There are so many people I want to thank who have inspired me, guided me and helped me on this incredible journey. I simply could not have accomplished what I did during my playing career without an overwhelming amount of support from my family, my friends and many others. I plan to express my gratitude to everyone in a more detailed manner at a later date; however, for now, I want to single out the fans. You are the lifeblood of this sport and, without you, none of us would be fortunate to call ourselves professional soccer players in MLS.

I feel incredibly blessed and lucky to have played a role in the remarkable growth of MLS and US Soccer during my playing career. And while my career as a player will soon be over, rest assured I will stay connected on many levels to the beautiful game.

As we enter a transformative time for the sport, I will do everything I can to help the continued growth of soccer in the United States. I look forward to making a difference, pursuing my passions and meeting all of you along the way in this next phase of my life.

With gratitude,

Landon
