This Getafe keeper is no joke. Getafe always plays Barca tough.

They're gong to give their neighbors Madrid & Atletico a Christmas present with what should be a 0-0 draw...

Just when you thought ARS was gonna walk away from this, Newcastle keeps things interesting.

Bout to celebrate the Barca's-Getafe draw with some burger king.

Question,

I don't watch soccer much, but i like to start watching. So my question is how did you end up rooting for your favorite team or basically how did you choose your team?

Real Madrid.

Had my favorite player at the time, Robinho.

The Barcelona bandwagon was insane at the time with Ronaldinho and Nike (similar to how Madrid is now) so I couldn't root for them.

And Fifa 07 was my first soccer game I played online, and after searching for my team I was straight slaughtering people with Madrid.

Damn Barca what happened?

Psk, you watched? What happened?

In plainest terms, no effort. It's what I've been complaining about since Pep left. This Barca side shows no sense of urgency or hustle.

Barca has been struggling mightily on the road this campaign.

Xavi looked really bad today in the driving rain. He just doesn't have the stamina/fitness to play regularly anymore especially in adverse conditions.

I don't like dropping Messi deep to search/seek the ball especially since he appears so lazy for long stretches.

It's funny, had these results happened under Tata, Catalonia would be up in arms...

Pique was poly the best player on the pitch for Barca today... That in it of itself should speak volumes. :smh:

They won't win the league this campaign & at best, Barca may reach the semi finals of the CL but flame out badly.

I'm half German, and my favorite player for the National Team has always been Miroslav Klose. Although his spell with Bayern wasn't the best, it was around that time that I was really getting into club football and went with Bayern. Before that I pretty much just rooted for whatever team my favorite player of all-time, Brazil's Ronaldo was on. While Bayern is and will always be my #1 team, the lack of coverage in the states (until next year when FOX picks up the Bundesliga) kinda made me want to find a Premier League club to root for. My buddy and I started out rooting for newly promoted teams or teams close to being relegated sort of as a joke and I ended up really liking Crystal Palace (they have cheerleaders too!)

Real Madrid = Yankees & Cowboys

Barcelona = Patriots & Red Sox

As for the English teams, someone else could describe them better than I can
