I got to say that I was really unimpressed with LVG's tactics in the match today.

It looked like he didn't have any tactics. After a while I saw the same ol "take it to the wing and cross it in" mentality that Daveed had.

With that starting lineup there's no way there should be 0 shots on target.

I honestly think we haven't seen the best of this Barca team yet. With the CL knockout rounds coming up soon it's kinda scary to see em win but not at their best. Makes me super nervous as a City fan!

Barca got lucky with the goals today but they played better, much better. Crisis seems to have subsided.

Atletico need to find a way to win/tie when they are down going forward.

Barca is far from an engine humming but the key to today's win was the heart they played with & the pace in which they played. Most importantly, we saw the active Messi that has been absent for 2 years or so. He was the heart of everything good that happened on the pitch today at Camp Nou.

The other key to the success Barca had was defense, defense, defense. They even defended set pieces well. Every player pressed the ball.

Barca still needs to show he fundamentals of tiki taka. Movement off the ball was better today than anytime I can recall recently but it's a far cry from what it should be.

Now Barca have to prove they can win on the road.

a very lackluster performance from Utd today...
lots of chances but not a single shot on target playing at home...that last happened in 2009.

to be honest though,Utd has been riding their luck for so long...
wins against Arsenal,Liverpool and Southampton earlier in the season when they were clearly NOT the better team...
it was only a matter of time before their poor performances caught up to them...

He felt slighted that he wasn't getting the playing time he deserved. Iirc, Rio Ferdinand mentioned it during an interview last year that the boiling point that really ticked him off was a match against Blackburn during SAF's 70th birthday where multiple players were lined up out of position at midfield and Pogba stayed on the bench. All in all definitely not one of SAF's brightest decisions in hindsight,oh man what could have been

Caught up on the Barca game, was at work earlier. I was really surprised with how the team played.

The fire was there, not to their full potential but they played with heart and passion. The trio up top seems to start gelling together, the amount of firepower between Messi, Neymar and Suarez should be a show of domination game in and game out. Very happy that all three of them had goals.

Coupe was right, never noticed how Atletico struggles when they are down. They didn't seem like themselves. This was a big win, and like PSK said, can Barca win on the road?

Apparently his lady just gave birth so he was given the day off.

But playing Rooney in CM and ADM in the hole just made absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I expected to see ADM and Herrera in the CM, Rooney in the hole, RVP up front then drop RVP for Mata and push Rooney up to the 9 midway through.

LVG got it all wrong, and is still forcing this formation that isn't working. I still firmly believe he's the man for the job, but he definitely needs to get his philosophy in check right now.

tbf we have ALOT of making up to do for yrs of underspending.. at this point i dont even look at total money but the actual players being brought in... we could spend another 300 mil for all I care so long as the holes are being filled.. MONEY AINT A THANG!!!!
