Don't know which United fans in their right mind that actually expect Pogba back
laugh.gif
. He's most likely gonna end up in Madrid sometime within the next 2 years
as long as SAF is alive we will never sign him. He burnt his bridges with the shady business and burial of the club.

If only SAF had an apology in him but that'll never happen

SAF doesn't owe him anything. The kid didn't even bother to tell us he was leaving until he signed the contract, once Ferg found out he had every right to keep him on the bench. He choose the money, the money would of followed him here.

Progba might not go to Real is they get the same banned that Barca got though

They'd be allowed to use the summer market as there last one when it goes to appeal. Just like Barca did, originally they were suspended from making transfers from last summer to now but it got delayed.

If RM get punished like Barca, they'll have this summer to make the transfer before it goes into punishment. Perfect time for Pogba. If a club like Real know they're about to be disallowed transfers for one year, I can't imagine how much money and how many players they'd bring in this summer. :x

I really don't blame him for that,I would've been pissed too if I was riding the bench for the likes of Rafael to be playing in midfield instead occasionally

. He only made the decision to leave once it was clear that he wouldn't be seeing the field anytime soon and that decision seems to have been the best one for his career after seeing the way its turned out.

Funny thing is I always hear some United fans go "no player is bigger than the club" when it comes to Pogba...as if he's the wrong one in the situation. Not referring to this thread, just comments from some I talk to.

However, there is no point living in the past.

That would be awesome. it be like watching Heggsy opening FIFA packs.

Oh I here the same stupid thing. A bunch of ManU fans I know, blame Progba for leaving. Saying Fergie did the right thing by letting him go.

but he just got called up from the reserves. Thats like if fosu-mensah got called up tomorrow and expected to play in front of Blind and Anderson against HeggsyFC on Saturday.  After that game he was playing regularly, Ferg just quit playing him when he found out he signed a pre-contract. No point in continuing to develop him, if he's leaving.

One of the grand parents on my son's team is an old Italian (born over there) whose married to an Argentine lady (both are really nice/sweet people). They are both huuuuge footy fans. They know about everything, scores, transfers, etc...

I don't get to see them too much but when I do it's always nice. I saw the grand pop during my son's technical training & was chatting with him. He says it's funny that Jose wants Cuadrado because per him, he's terrible at defending.

we never let him go, he choose to go. We offered him a new contract, Juve gambled, double what we offered and it paid off. No way we our breaking our standards for a 18 yr kid who isn't playing first team action.
I hope letting Pogba go burns SAF and Man U fans forever
its okay, bud. he was always going to leave man U, to real madrid or barca when he was ready to go. Its not like we hurting $$$ wise.

The difference is that during that particular instance, Rooneh,Evans and Gibson were left out of the lineup. Scholes had just retired for the first time,Fletcher was hurt and Carrick was playing in the back so there really weren't many options at central midfield which is why SAF went with Rafael and Park. I suspect that it must've been discouraging for him seeing SAF place more faith in a rb to p[lay out of position in the midfield than a Mancunian like him. Against freaking Blackburn Rovers no less

fifa are looking into 51 players in it's Madrid investigation. Here is the link for the club's official response.

http://www.realmadrid.com/en/news/2015/01/official-announcement

At issue is article 14 which says a youth player under the age of 18 cannot be signed unless they meet the following criteria:

- The parents of the player are moving to the country for non-football reasons.

- The player is from the EU.

- The player lives within 100km of the club they sign for (previous to the club's interest).

I think you'll start seeing a host of clubs being investigated now...

Edit - Latest silly season rumor - Raheem Sterling to Chelsea...

Does that mean we might start seeing some Barca style transfer bans for some of these clubs psk?

I would think so since precedent has been set. I was surprised sepp only went after Barca as there are a host of clubs in violation of article 14. I long thought article 14 needed to be revised because La Masia doesn't just throw away players if they don't work out.

I know @abovelegit1 poo poo'd the education there saying La Masia was nothing more than a set up like IMG in Florida but that is wholly untrue. These kids get a solid education. School hours for La Masia are from 8AM - 2PM Mon through Fri. The kids are expected to maintain a satisfactory GPA & if they're having trouble, they get extensive tutoring.

Training time varies per age group/team but it only lasts an hour & 30 mins during the week.

I think what needs to happen is that fifa create some accreditation process that protects against kids getting preyed on & tossed out if it doesn't work, complete with yearly audits to make sure the academies are up to snuff academically (in addition to the footballing education).

There was an article a long time ago in a Korean newspaper that featured a story on Lee Seung Woo before he went to La Masia... His parents weren't sure about him going there (being Asian parents) because they weren't sure about the education he'd receive. Once they toured the school & witnessed the focus on academics equal to the football training, they committed their son to Barca. That was the parents #1 concern.

Edit - Barca prez Bartomeu recently did a radio interview stating the club was reassessing the deal they have with Qatar sponsorship due to "the drastic change in social & political aspect of the country since the deal was first made. :smokin

For those Spanish speaking Cules, here's a clip of the interview with RAC1.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Qatar-kit-deal-social-political-reasons.html

I don't see the club going back to the UNICEF sponsor on the shirt but I would love to see a different sponsor. It would most likely be even bigger than the 5 year €165 mil deal signed in 2010. The current deal with Qatar runs through next year.

Rolaholic and Captain Crown..You've officially confused the hell out of me now.

Whose to blame for Pogba leaving!?! Was it him or Fergie? The people deserve answers!!!

*CC, I don't think Pogba would have left United if he started his career there like he started at Juve. Think he would have been a lifer.

It was Pogbas choice at the end but SAF gets some blame from me for never giving him a real shot.

Thanks for the info psk, gonna be really interesting seeing where these investigations lead to

Too many people forget that Pogba was just a teenager. Sure the straw that broke the camels back was when SAF played some cup match and played two players out of position instead of him.

But the truth is, he was just a teenager that showed A LOT of promise, and there have been plenty of youth players that have shown a lot of promise that never reached Pogba's level. He could have easily not reached the level that he plays at today.

Imagine if SAF gave into Pogba's demands, and how the can of worms that could have opened because other youth players that showed promise (who have no guarantee of playing at Pogba's level) start to make demands.

In the situation, SAF made the right move, unfortunately in this game, you win some you lose some....

look at odegaard hes on a rumored 80k a week at 16 pogba at 21 being on a rumored what 25k a week or something like that, i look at it like this i hate when athletes complain about money at the end of the day youre getting paid to play sports like come on i dont expect him to come back to united at all if he comes cool if not oh well
