I think Illarra is guilty of not adapting though but part of that is on the coaching staff to help develop his skill set to play other positions on the pitch. Not sure Carlo & his stuff have done that however.

I think he'll get back to form like he was at La Real.

@psk2310  Well I think the plan was Illarra would learn to shadow Alonso until he grew as a player. They were going for the Roberto Carlos-Marcelo effect. I honestly don't want to give up on him but he deserves to play, fail and grow and these things are not happening at Madrid.

In the long run, come this summer we're looking at Kroos, Modric, Lucas Silva, Casemiro, Isco and James going for the mid 3 in Carletto's 4-3-3. And then we add rumors of Pogba coming to Madrid. At this pace, next year we're just going to bench Iker and play without a keeper

No but seriously, 4-4-3

No one mentioned it... RIP to ex Boca man Riquelme (played for Barca too, LvG didn't play him much at all though, played for the Yellow Subs too). 36 is waaaay too young to die.

My son's first technical trainer was a huge Boca fan & had various Riquelme Boca shirts... They always looked real nice too...

Bruh u got me buggin, I'm pretty sure he just retired.

Speaking of those past dominate Milan sides, looks like Barca prez Bartomeu has tapped the long time former Milan director Ariedo Braido as Barca's new sporting director. He worked for the Rossoneri for 25 years as general manager & later technical director & helped to build some of those dominant teams.

Damn El Nino strikes within the first minute (again).... :smh: :x

Diego Simeone must really be a heck of a coach since he turns the nearly corpses into a goalscoring machine.
