I'll agree he's not proficient with his right as he should be but to say he has a poor or horrible first touch is incorrect.

I can't wait till Modric comes back though. He'll give the squad a much needed balance; hopefully take some weight off Kroos' shoulders. Bale will also have a partner in crime

From what I've seen, Bales main issue is his right foot. I think his touch is good enough and his dribbling has improved in Madrid. His right foot being so weak limits him, especially in front of goal

I don't think anyone is saying Bale has a poor/horrible first touch (on an absolute basis), but it is relatively poor compared to Ronaldo/Isco/James's. I'm inclined to agree with Coupe; I've seen him break up the flow of the attack multiple times this season with his subpar dribbling or first touch in the wrong direction. I see a player like Sterling in that right wing role being a much better fit for Real's offense than Bale

at that Wilshere pic. Like, how can you be that dumb to take a picture with a pipe in your hand? And it's not like he was secretly photographed, he's clearly posing

Happy birthday to Cristiano Ronaldo the God.
:pimp:

I wonder how many years he has left in him.

Wilshire is such a dbag... He's the embodiment of everything that's wrong with English footy (the cultural aspect of it).

I think it's kind of ironic that Alexis is on his team because of the comments Alexis made prior to the WC because it speaks directly to Wilshire & English players like him.

"We are a tougher team than England," he said in the Daily Express. "The problem for teams like England is that everything is so easy for them. They join these academies at maybe 10 or 11 years old and everything is done for them.

"I used to wash cars for such little money just so I had enough money to buy my football boots. When you are at academies like Manchester United and Arsenal then everything is just given to you.

"If I had failed I would be working 15-hour days on construction sites and still not be earning enough to live. Football saved me, and I don't think any England players could say that.".

Speaking of Arsenal, looks like Alisher Usmanov bailed out the Russian FA by paying Fabio Capello his unpaid wages for the last 8 months at the tune of $2.8 million....

I guess losing $809 million of your net worth when the Russian market tumbled didn't hurt too bad especially since your net worth is still $13.4 billion... I wonder how he was specifically singled out...

I think much of Bale's criticism is due to the price Real Madrid paid for him. IMO if he doesn't cost so much, the fans wouldn't be booing him like this, but when your the highest paid transfer, they fans might be expecting more from him.

Of course it is, thats always going to be a burden.

That's all I'm saying, glad someone understands...I don't know what Madrid some others watch.

As if I have an agenda to abide by and "I'm seeing what I want to see", wtf does that even mean . I don't care about Gareth Bale, I love to see him do well. When he's running with the ball correctly it's beautiful, he looks like A Clydesdale and he has a beautiful left foot - the dude needs to tell Ronaldo to stop taking free-kicks and take on the duty. But there are flaws on top of that €100 million price tag, flaws that the average Madrid players don't have - which can really frustrate the fans because that's not what they expected.

Bale is having a solid campaign so far with a total of 14 goals

Bale is an EPL player thru and thru, it's his nature, it's what his game is about. He needs to run. I agree with Fly tho, I think Bale will be extremely useful in the champions league against teams like Bayern or Chelsea - but Madrid need more than just that. Bale back to the EPL

Bale isn't going anywhere. Real are going to take a great financial loss and Bale is going to want to prove himself.

Is there anything else, aside from the cigarette/hookah, that makes you say he's a dbag? Kid taking opportunities for granted, sure, but dbag seems kind of harsh for a young guy just wanting to have some fun. When I think of a dbag, I think of an outspoken Princeton type that summers in the Hamptons and thinks everyone else is beneath him and acts accordingly

He's been arrested several times for things ranging from taking up skirt pics, to harassing girls at clubs, to fights outside of pubs, etc.

My biggest beef is his remarks about only people from England should play for England. It just screams racist & xenophobic. He might as well be saying, "They're taking our jobs".

He never even bothered clarifying his comment on exactly what defines an English person.

With his line of reasoning, the likes of Raheem Sterling or Wilfred Zaha should've never suited up for the 3 Lions nor should Mo Farah have ever run for England.

I could go on & on but I think you get the picture. This kid is a turd through & through... The interesting thing is whether or not Arsenal will sign him because I believe his current deal is almost up...

Edit - If he doesn't have the intelligence of understanding he's already had 2 instances where smoking caused a "row" & takes another pic then dude is just.... :smh:

They should ship him to United and pick up Reus and Pogba
Khedira's contract will be up, and they tried shipping Illara in the past window. There will be room for Pogba. Chicha's move looks like it really is just a loan, so there will also be room for Reus. So if Real targets them, there'll be room.

What's with Arsenal and smoking players. Ozil in the summer and now Wilshere again

Was honestly pretty surprised to see the pic of Messi, I guess given his clean golden boy image the media loves to push. Herb, I would've believed, but a cig? Nahhh

What financial loss? They're Real Madrid. United would pay the whole transfer fee he went for to get Bale, have you not seen the amount of ludicrous money they spent on players the past year?

I don't think they should get rid of him either tho, but if Pogba, Reus, or De Gea (or all three) are in the mix, makes it a much harder decision. There is only so much a player like Gareth Bale can take in a foreign country, there is so much Real can get back by letting him go.

Didn't know yall were so anti smoking/cigs in this thread

Just kidding though, they are athletes after all and if I were a manager or owner I'd be belligerent if I found out one of my players smokes.
