Interesting fact about Athletic striker Inaki Williams is the first black player to score for the Basque club in it's 117 year history (3 months ago in the EL). The first black player for Athletic was Jonas Ramalho back in 2011.

Athletic only accepts players from the Basque region & has never been relegated from top flight Spanish football.

In the case of Williams, he was born in Bilbao to a Ghanaian father and a Liberian mother. He came up through the youth ranks of Pamplona and Bilbao...

Brazilian football club Santos said it has filed a suit with FIFA seeking compensation for a breach of contract in the transfer of forward Neymar to FC Barcelona, adding to the controversy that led to the resignation of the president of the Spanish champions.
Santos President Modesto Roma said the team filed the suit against Barcelona, Neymar, his father and marketing firm Neymar Sports e Marketing.
"Santos believes that Barcelona, Neymar and his company violated the transfer contract and therefore, it claims compensation of damages," Roma said in a statement.
The suit comes as Brazilian authorities began to investigate allegations of corruption in its football industry following a US probe that led to the arrests this week of top officials at FIFA.
Barcelona have been accused of tax fraud by Spanish authorities after it came to light the striker's transfer fee, initially disclosed as 57.1 million euros, was in fact closer to 100 million euros.
Sandro Rosell resigned the Barcelona club presidency last year over the allegations. Rosell, his successor Josep Bartomeu and the club will stand trial on charges they committed tax fraud in the signing of Neymar.
The defendants have denied any wrongdoing.

I don't doubt there was a huge nefarious element to the Neymar transfer but how did Santos agree to only accepting €17.1 million, plus a conditional €2 million?!?!

So I'm assuming Laporte too? Never knew that.

Its comical how they go after neymar, yeah hes trolling but if you want him to stop then try to stop him. Can't blame anyone but yourself.

Lmao was he mad Neymar tried to pull that trick on him?
From what I hear, the spanish league doesn't encourage that.

I read an interview where players who play in spanish and english league say that in spain, you'd get a reaction from a nice pass or team play, where as in england, you put a long pass on the money from across the field can get you some cheers. Different leagues applaud and shame certain styles of play

I think At.Madrid took the most offense to neymar because he did things like that where he would go out of his way to humiliate them. I think its cool neymar keeps doing his thing since its engraved in his DNA

He'll stop sooner than later. Once he focuses on improving his efficiency.

Same happened to Ronaldo.

The only times I've ever seen Vermaelan on the Barcelona pitch is to celebrate matches he didn't even play in...

You're right. Either that or he'll be in a situation where xavi, messi, busq, or anyone else won't be in a position to defend him from the other team. Dude plays a dangerous, yet entertaining game.
