I've talked about Messi not being a gym rat like Ronnie in the past & that his loss in form for 3-4 years was because he could no longer run on his ability/talent alone... His physical transformation from the beginning of this campaign to now has been phenomenal. He's also eating a lot better, no more pizza as his pregame meal... Can't even believe anyone at the club allowed that.

I think Enrique & his staff had a lot to do with this not only for Messi but for the whole club. Aside from Vermaelen, no one really lost too much time due to injury this campaign... Luck obviously played it's part too...

Carlo Ancelotti has rejected the chance to re-join Milan following his departure from Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Former Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has rejected the chance to re-join Serie A side Milan.

The 55-year-old was sacked by Real after failing to win any silverware last season, losing the Spanish title to Barcelona while falling to Juventus in the UEFA Champions League semifinals.

Milan immediately expressed an interest in bringing Ancelotti back to San Siro six years after he left for Chelsea, despite Filippo Inzaghi still being in charge.

However, Ancelotti has taken to Twitter to confirm he has turned down his former employer's approach and hinted he may take time out of the game following his experiences at Santiago Bernabeu.

He wrote: "Thanks to @acmilan for their support [and] interest. It was hard to say no to such beloved club to me but I need some rest. I wish them the best."

Milan finished its Serie A campaign with a 3-1 victory over Atalanta on Saturday, a result that saw the club finish 10th.

Anybody else think this hurts the U.S.' Chances of getting another wc in the near future? Seems like the world would view it as the states removing blaster to get what they want.

tbh, if drinking Bud Light Lime means the end of Sith Bladder, I'm all for it...... and then I'll wash it down with a vodka and water

Don't think so. Murrica saved soccer.

i think Figo has enough charisma but its still too green to be a solid choice... i honestly think Gill would be the best option, but you know first order of business would be 2018 WC.. Platini in the cut scheming though.. sepp's final act should be to expose Michel

US was second in voting behind Qatar for 2022. To think we probably would have been awarded another one if it werent for corruption :smh:
now that sepp "fair play" blatter is gone...

The more I think about it, the more I'm intrigued about the idea of Gill running fifa. He obviously has a successful resume as a football executive. Figo & Prince Ali just don't have the experience needed.

BREAKING: David Gill to remain FIFA vice-president. #SSNHQ

It's a shame. I like Gill. Figo isn't ready, but he isn't afraid to call problems. I like Prince Ali, but he has Platini's full support. I don't trust Platini at all.

To be honest, I just want to see Qatar losing their bids to save more lives.

MetalMario MetalMario Yeah, it took me a while to find the original video. :pimp:
