It's been 77 years since a Liverpool player transferred to Man Utd. That's incredible to me lol

"Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward met with Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema's agent earlier this week."

"Woodward was seen with Karim Djaziri at The Savoy hotel in London on Wednesday evening amid reports United could lodge a £40m bid for the 27-year-old, who is on holiday in New York."

I hope this is true.

Yo so whats the story on adu i remember him supposing to be great

Dude was hyped up as kid at like 13-14, i think the only reason he was hyped was cause the US didn't have much young talent at the time. And in reality, he wasn't really that good compared to international talent

Footy thread is one of my favorites, much less tom foolery. The NBA thread moves too fast for me.

The second sentence is false. Yeah a part of the reason for the hype in America was because of the landscape at the time but Adu was absolutely an elite youth talent compared to any one in the world.

Adu's talent has never ever failed him or even been in question. His work ethic, tactical understanding, and what at the time was a nonexistent youth development structure is a completely different story.

In short you don't crown an adolescent and tell them they're great at fourteen years old. If Adu had gotten a proper footballing education and had the the virtues of a professional athlete instilled him the way they're instilled in all players as teenagers, things would likely have been a lot different.

He's played professional soccer since he was 14, he's played with some decent clubs and had impressive moments in some decent leagues at a shockingly young age, no one has ever said he wasn't talented or skilled enough.

That dude was not 14. He was older. Hence he looked incredible against people in his "age group". Once he started to come up against more mature players who also worked on their skill, his lack of improvement showed itself very quickly.
