I must be the only one watching the MLS Match of the Week

Vintage Thierry Henry equalised against RSL with a beautifully placed shot on Rimando. Really trying to enjoy his games before he calls it quits soon.
Turned it on just in time to catch that.  Class.

Honestly, Theo was never a player that stood out to me and I've been watching him since he got picked for the 06 world cup. He's not a player that relishes taking on defenders 1 on 1. He just relies on his pace and runs down the wings when he's not marked.

If he was on the transfer market today I honestly don't see any other big club signing him. Maybe it's just me but I see him more as a west ham/Aston villa/ Newcastle/ QPR type player

Again his game isnt that of a winger that takes people on he and inside forward, so yeah you're right he doesnt relish taking people on 1 on 1 . He plays often as the most advanced player in attack despite the fact that he plays on the wing. His job is to play on the shoulder of the last defender and time runs into space., you know the thing that you complain about him always doing...its what the manager wants him to do  Yes at times due to the fact that Arsenal dominate possession so much against alot of teams (Especially at the Emirates) he isnt as effective, nobody in the team is tbh as we sideway pass to death, but against 2 banks of defenders who really shines? (Ask Messi and Co how hard it is to break down players sitting back throughout the WC) Again you seem like one of those people who want him to be a player he isnt and knock him for it.

 I'm not even going to address the second paragraph. Comical stuff.

This is coming from an Arsenal and England supporter I assure you I watch every game Theo has played in for god knows how long and I just cant understand how someone else who claims to "watch" Theo too for as long as you have could keep typing the type of nonsense you put out (QPR level player? FOH).

Seeing as how the first paragraph has been taken care of above, i'm guessing from the second paragraph you weren't watching Theo during the bidding war when he left Southampton or the whole Sign Da Ting saga when he was pursued by City, Liverpool, etc. Google will help fill in the gaps for you.

Did Theo "Underachieve"? Or was he just another product of "Young English Hype"?

I don't think there is anything wrong with questioning whether or not Theo Walcott belongs at a top-club.

The journey is far from over, he is 25, but has missed alot of time due to injuries recently. As I said before he has improved year on year. But the reason people think he has "underachieved" is what you mentioned and down to the silly hype that is placed on him and most young English players. He was purchased by Arsnel at 16, taken to the WC at 17, had the run vs Liverpool in the CL and scored the hattrick in WC qualifying...people wanted him to be a world beater right away overlooking the fact that he is still young (and didnt pick up football until relatively late) When he went through the rough patches that young players go through so people slated him (Like Hansen) and perceptions stick.

The media builds them up to rip them down as they move on to the next one, just as they did with Rooney, with Wilshere and likely (hopefully not) with Barkley.

He's one of the first names on the team sheet at AFC and when fit starts for England (if they are trying to actually win the game  :smh:). He'd start RW for United (better than Velencia and Nanii ) would likely start for City (if they played a played a 4-3-3, not the 4-4-2 they do now as Silva out wide to make room for 2 striker, but he's better than Navas) and with Suarez gone and Sturridge up front by himself he'd start right wring with Sterling swapping to LW.

I'm not here trying to argue he's one of the best players in the world or anything but when people say **** like Theo is a QPR level player I'm going to talk up his imo underrated ability in the role he is instructed to play (for Arsenal mainly as we all know Hogdson, and well most England managers, has 0 clue how to build a team and get the best out of their players :smh:)

The only criticisms I'd have of Theo is that he doesn't pass very well. He finishes fine. I think it's more accurate to say he's sometimes streaky when finishing... He's actually fine dribbling the ball too.

I can't believe anyone whose actually watched full matches over the last couple of years (especially last year) would say that Ross Barkley isn't very good with the ball at his feet. As far as English blokes go, he's a very good dribbler.

Maybe Theo plays for Man U, but that's not saying much right now. I can also see him playing for a mid-level English team. He's an old 25 man, ridiculous injuries.

That's just me tho. But I def think he was a victim of "English" hype. England really has to stop doing that to their youngsters. Too much pressure. I want to see him do well tho, he's a likable dude.

:pimp: San Lorenzo on to their first Copa Libertadores final after beating Bolivar 5-1 on aggregate.

Keylor Navas signs for Real Madrid and Chicaritos agent met with representatives of Inter last night.

My co-worker (Gooner) says Twitter is on fire saying Carvalho is signing with Arsenal tomorrow...

Yeah there was a report that his price had dropped by 10 million. Word is that Sporting is cash strapped from there new stadium and falling attendance. Never believe anything transfer related on Arsenal spread on twitter unless @GeoffArsenal or @TheArsenalHorse confirm it

I heard that they are ready to sell. Also just saw that Real want to sell Khedira to Arsenal so they don't lose him on afree transfer next year. I just hope that we dong miss out on signing a DM

Everton is damn proud of the fee they paid. They put "CLUB RECORD £28M" out there so everybody could read it.

Liverpool already snagged Origi, but there's gotta be more Belgians out there that Chelsea can never play and flip for a profit.

 it's some good business though. I think Barkley and Lukaku will link up nicely, and could be a fruitful partnership if Lukaku continues to develop.
Chelsea has at least two more Belgians. The Mushonda brothers or something like that. Arsenal was chasing them at one point but they wentto Chelsea where they just became two more youth players.

Atleti knows Bakkali's rating goes up to a 90 in FIFA manager mode
I didn't want to be the one to say this

I think this was most peoples first thought

Each time you post that kit I want it lol.
