PSK you're on fire this morning  I'm so happy to see John Oliver actually bought air time in T&T, I finally caught the newest episode of his show last night and was dying at his FIFA coverage.

ATT is a ******* joke. anytime FS1 gets rights to a USA friendly they wont show it in english. they're showing the pregame show today at 11-11:30 then it switches to world darts championship. this is the same thing they did last time for a USA game and when people complained their excuse on twitter was that they felt darts would draw better ratings than the USA match. :smh:

edit: at least this time they're being honest. FS1 is charging providers an extra fee to show the game and they're too cheap to pay it

I hear you. The reason I mention packing on their stadiums is because that all = money.
If there's large support of lower league footy, then there's money in merchandise, ticket sales, TV rights etc for the owner. Something that won't happen in the US right now.

It's just not ready yet. It'll get there. Along with having academies that are club owned and free for players instead of the current pay to play setup.
Yea I'm with you I think we will definitely get to the point where the support is there across lower divisions and probably sooner than expected.

As @rck2sactown  mentioned there are lower division clubs like Sac Republic, Indy Eleven, San Antonio Scorpions as well as Portland Timbers and Orlando City in their division 3 days that have proved that is possible to generate overwhelming support for lower division soccer in the U.S.

It just takes a vey well run organization that's able to capture organic local support. In the past there weren't enough owners willing to invest that much capital into operations but that's really starting to change.

the only way relegation could work in the MLS is in a self-contained model.... probably with new expansion teams, NASL and USL PRO, the money gap is just too huge to bridge.

meaning the MLS would need to expand to ~36 teams, then split off 18 to MLS and 18 to MLS2

MLS and MLS2's relegation incentive would come from a promotion purse and also playoff bonuses to top 12 teams or whatever in MLS playoffs; not available in MLS2

Having a true Pro/Rel system will never fly with MLS owners.

Dope heggsy heggsy
The new jerseys don't look as bad in person or on the field, as I initially thought.
sounds like a lot of americans and service men/ women out in cologne. :nthat:

Hahal I interned and still work for the league part-time so I figured it was my duty.

I'm not too optimistic about the USOC match, unless the Quakes field a poor team thinking they have a guaranteed victory and our boys absolutely bring it then I think SJ will easily win. Sacramento needs a striker bad, seems like nobody can finish right now. Think we had something like 20 shots last Saturday and ended up losing 1-0 to Austin (4 shots) Same situation the week prior vs RSL. You going to the match? Quakes shafted us with tickets but we were supposedly getting more. I work game days for Republic so I was hoping to score some free tickets, but with my other job being in Modesto I don't think I'll be able to make the trip.

Barca has announced elections will be held July 18th. All candidates for the presidency must present their proposed board members by July 4th.
