Yeah I cant see city beating Chelsea... don't think it will be easy for Chelsea

Samper has been with Barca since he was 6. He's apparently the only player to have ever played in every single age category from Prebenjamin to the B team.

Of the 107 passes he attempted yesterday against Apoel, Samper completed 98 (92%). Great debut for the kid...

Men In Blazer's Rog & Davo compared the tightness of the Arsenal shirts to sausage casing... Also compared Balo to Isiah the crazy prophet for wandering around aimlessly on the pitch.

BTW GFOPs, they got the original George Michael's Sports Machine signage to feature on the set of their new show which debuts Monday... Fitchicow...

MLS Rebranding:

MLS Next LINK

Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure how I feel about the new crest. Hopefully, it grows on me with time.

:smh: Gerry isn't getting a lot of playing time at Sevilla either... Barca might cancel the loan deal & it's rumored Everton wants him back...

Wait, Can they do that now?

There are provisions in the loan agreement for playing time. If they're not met, they can bring Gerry back (edit - In Jan). He's only played 17 minutes of a possible 270 he could've played.

I think Barca should just cut ties with him instead of stringing him along. He could've (& should've) made his mark in training & in the preseason games but he hasn't grown at all. The poor kid was still trying to dribble through 4-5-6 players at a time with team mates wide open in front of the net.

I like the MLS logo, but the white section is way too bare. The designers should've put in bold blue lines like US Soccer's Centennial shield has. Would've been an excellent touch...

Q: What does MLS’s new brand identity mean for the clubs?

It means each club will get a version of the league crest, which better reflects their clubs identity and local market. This is not a replacement for the club brand; instead the new league brand compliments and allows the club to be the real hero. We want to reinforce the ethos of the new brand, which encourages clubs to “own” and adapt the crest to match the colors they and their fans associate with and support

After staring at the new MLS crest on and off for the last couple hours, I've come to like it.

Also, this is a real crest and I guess I'm glad the MLS didn't go for something like this
roll.gif

2-1 manU
1-0 Chel
Swan and south both playing decent, so far. Won't be a bad game. 2-1 south

Most importantly...
2-1 sunderland over burnley

The new mls crest looks like someone used ms paint. Straight lines, basic font, colors and stars.

It will look better when it's an actual badge stitched onto the jersey.

See by itself, it looks odd. They have the line that comes all the way thru on the left & the bottom right portion of the logo is empty... :smh:

What's the purpose of the line extending past the outline of the shield? Is it supposed to symbolize something?

Edit - oh ok...

I just want the MLS to flourish....

Also, the MLS is in the 916 today to meet with the mayor, city officials, and Sac Republic ownership.

Renderings for the proposed Sacramento stadium, planned to be 100% privately financed... something I'm not sure any other prospective city has been able to say....
