Facts only. Jose plays for a draw against big teams, that's a small club trait. You could see it last season too. I'm glad Pelle is starting to hit back at Mou now. Pelle is showing a lot more fire this season.

It's that tactic which you could say lost them the league last season. Settling for draws come back to bite when you pick up unexpected losses down the road. I believe they went to Trafford and settled for a boring 0-0 draw and United would go on to look like easy points for top teams last season.

dont know what was worse them Hope Solo pics or Uniteds defense.. both ruined my day :smh:

I just saw the Chelsea/Man City game. I'm kinda mad.

- Schurrle once again gets caught napping, after scoring a great goal too.

- Wasted several opportunities after we scored our first goal.

- Drogba is a legend but you can't keep throwing him out there as the main sub at striker ahead of Remy. Come on Mourinho. And why attempt to park the bus when City has 10 men? Stop with the sitting back and stop playing favorites, please.

- Willian is always going to struggle with decision making.

The fear of losing the point outweighed the need for 3 points.. I agree, Chelsea still playing like the "little horse".

I think on the road at the Ethiad though playing for the draw isn't a bad idea.  I think Mou understands that if you can win the games you are supposed to and just survive against the top 4-5 teams you can win the league.

The City vs Chelsea game really opened up in the second half.  James Milner's work rate was just insane.  He made darting runs forward all game and still got back for defensive responsibilities.  I thought City were finally building something before the red card.  That really took some wind out of them.  Yaya looked better , Mangala and Kompany together in the back

that is a fun defense to watch.  They took no prisoners out there..

And even though i dislike him.  Diego Costa is a great player.  got unlucky with the shot that hit the post.

Congrats to leicester that was a fun game to watch.  Its crazy Falcao and Di Maria and Rooney and Van Persie and Mata....and yet your defense is still pathetic

Don't understand how what Beans said could get him in trouble?

Did I miss something? Was the RIP for that too?

We played for the draw against all the big squads last year but couldn't handle smaller teams because we had an anemic offense. We actually could go to battle with bigger teams because they would play right into our counter attacking plan. If Mourinho actually went for it against bigger sides that went at us we probably could have finish at the top of the table because we couldn't do a damn thing against smaller sides. Now our offense has improved leaps and bounds and he's still employing the same strategy.....with the other squad down to 10 men.

I'm not against parking the bus....I'm against parking the bus every damn time

I'm happy Mourinho is back but playing not to lose can and has backfired several times.

On the other hand Fernandinho is straight up disruptive, he's arguably been City's MVP in my eyes early on. Mangala is like a damn race horse out there, chased down Hazard without a problem or care.

I almost want to to go to the nbc app and watch the Chelsea vs City game just to watch Mangala.

Y'all are getting me hyped and sad at the same time, miss him.

United could have used that ridiculous money they spent on Mata on Mangala instead

Basically, from some of the appreciation threads, fellas were discussing photos that were leaked. Talking about what they saw. Meth wasn't happy about it, and I believe people started getting sniped for even mentioning photos that were essentially against NT policies. There were warnings of threads getting the hammer based on people making comments about pictures that were outside of NT's policies.

So, while it may seem like I'm being overzealous, I'm just saying, rather not even mention such pics in here, cause this is really the only thread (besides DB  ) worth visiting and I don't want to see it get the hammer.

Had a big weekend of footy for my son's team so I couldn't finish watching Madrid beat up on Depo... Son played striker for the first time Sat & did a hell of a job. Had 2 assists. He had 2 shots blocked by the keeper & one that rang out. We beat one of the bigger name brand teams in Maryland (Pipeline) which was started by 2 ex MLS players. My son pulled his upper-inner right thigh so he couldn't play Sunday but we beat the #2 team in the league. So we're 2-1 in the Sat league & 2-1 in the Sunday league. Feels good. :smokin

Finally got to watch the Levante vs Barca game from the DVR late last night. Thank god for Rakitic. One of the top 3 buys of any of the Euro teams IMO. He really does a great job of setting the pace for the game. He's passing is unbelievable, he tracks back very well (even cleaning a mess up from Benjamin Button, damn near smashes his head into the goal post with a slide tackle that saved a possible goal), & that goal from outside the box was crazy...

Speaking of Benjamin Button, he looks great when covering but he looks clumsy & has been making awful decisions when he's supposed to clear the line. He made some really awful mistakes yesterday & in games before.

Neymar looked ok until he fell to the ground after getting hit. I get the impression Enrique took him out early in order to get him to stop with his theatrics. :rolleyes He does get hit pretty hard, but he also adds a lot of flair & drama to his falls.

Sandro made the most of his opportunity coming in as a sub for Neymar bagging another goal. This kid is fast, bug, & strong. Very composed to. Must be nice to get an assist from Messi.

All in all, not bad. Also, Barca hasn't conceded a goal yet through 5 games so far... :rolleyes :smokin

The Korean U16 lost to North Korea of all teams in the U16 Asian Championship. The North Korean keeper did a helluva job only letting in one goal. Lee Seung Woo won tournament MVP. Can't wait to see what his kid does for the National team & what lies in store for him at Barca... For those that care, his highlights from the tournament below...

Roma midfielder Alessandro Florenzi got a yellow & faces further punishment for going into the stands to hug his grandma after he scored...

:smokin Props to Florenzi...

Alessandro Florenzi fined for celebrating goal with grandmother

Roma midfielder Alessandro Florenzi faces punishment for his unorthodox celebration on Sunday, when he ran to hug his grandmother in the crowd after scoring in his side's 2-0 win over Cagliari.

Florenzi, 23, was shown an obligatory yellow card when he returned to the field of play having leapt over the perimeter fencing to reach his elderly relative, who was in the Stadio Olimpico for the first time to see her grandson play.

He will now be fined for breaking the club's code of conduct, which punishes players for picking up avoidable bookings.

"My gran's fantastic," Florenzi told Sky Sport Italia. "It was her first time here. She never came to watch me play even when I was a kid and it would have been easy. This time she's come all this way at the age of 82.

"She told me after I missed that chance for the national team that she would come to the stadium just to see me, but that I had to go and say 'hi' to her."

He delivered on his promise, even if it incurred a club sanction.

"He's going to pay a fine," Roma coach Rudi Garcia said. "But he will be happy to pay it.

"It was a beautiful image, to see his grandmother so delighted and moved. I love to see moments like this."

Florenzi's goal helped Roma to joint-top of Serie A with champions Juventus after three wins out of three this season.

United was the only draw against the other tope 4 clubs they had, won the rest of them
