Somebody explain to me what Jesus. Navas does well besides just running a straight line down the wing, every single time. I don't think I've ever seen this dude do anything besides that

the story of Antonio Valencia's life...

Man Brahimi missed a penalty but this dude is a diamond in the rough man, he is a serious problem.

No idea how France let him go, no idea how Porto found him before anyone else. He's that good.

dude did nothing in the second half...stop trying to sell us another Anderson...
to be fair,i didn't watch the entire first half though...

PSG :wow:
need a plain kit badly...they all came with those damn QNB sleeve sponsor :x

How many empty seats are there at the city vs Roma game by the way....big CL game & fans would rather Ramsays Kitchen or something at home[emoji]128584[/emoji]

So many empty seats at the City game tonight, and they want to expand their stadium? HAHAHAHAH #Massive pic.twitter.com/AAeo0rcPWs

At the end of the day, even with all of the money spent, City are still a small club. Small club mentality. It will change over time, but even if you pump in billions, it takes time to change fans perceptions and behaviour.

Want a mulligan for berating Jackson Martinez in the past?

Missed the match for work. Provide ya boy with a recap.

Jackson and I have that type of rocky relationship, you wouldn't understand.

Not trying to sell you an Anderson at all, Brahimi actually proved himself on a World Cup level last summer and he's had an amazing season so far this year. Anderson was a 17 y/o we knew nothing about, barely every played.

I'm actually trying to hold in to this dude for a couple years please, we just got him. Dude's first-half was nuts and he was everywhere, making ridiculous runs and dribbles. Second half things did slow down but he's not a 90min player yet. We took him off at 60mins two weeks ago when he had a hat-trick, needs to learn to go the full 90 but damn and just keeps impressing every single game.

Brahimi along with Feghouli were nice to watch at the WC. To think they were on the brink of beating Germany that game :x

 at Rio taking shots at City. Better pepper that angus when City comes destroying that QPR back line.

PSG held it down yesterday.  I completely agree with everyone about Cavani....dude looked lost at times...lack of confidence was evident.

The build up though on Messi's goal....chilling.  That is why barca is so great to watch.  The one touch passing
sick.gif

Pep has bayern playing sooooo boring.......... total possession but not at all entertaining

I haven't watched them play in league play but the game yesterday was boring.  Idk if it was all Bayern's fault though...CSKA basically packed it in had 10 guys behind the ball at all times.  It seems like everyone wants to follow the RM template of trying to quickly counter.  And if CSKA had any luck yesterday they could have easily tied that game.

Yesterday's game though when it was over did seem like just another day at the office for Bayern

Nope, Bayern have been boring for the better part of a year now. Not some random thing.

Complete different team that won the champions league just a year- half ago.

The missing ingredient in Pep's Bayern side is the pressing his Barca sides used to do putting constant pressure on the ball. It's been missing at Barca since he left but made brief appearances under Enrique. Bayern also missed some shots they should've put in the net also.

The pressing did not appear much for Barca at the Parc des Princes as they couldn't put pressure on the ball. The Blaugrana continues it's poor form of road games in the CL only winning 4 out of the last 14-15 or so. :rolleyes :smh:

I thought it was funny that people wrote PSG off despite the injured players like Ibra, Thiago, & Lavezzi. They still have a quality side, albeit one that's under performing. Them misses from Munir & Sandro were crucial. These young lions are finding out how valuable being match fit & continuing to train hard will be during the grind of a campaign.

Speaking of Bayern, Xabi "kilt" Thiago Alcantara's previous Bayern record of touches at 177. Xabi had 204 touches in the CL match against CSKA while completing 185 passes. In fact, Xabi completed more passes than CSKA did as a team. :x :smokin He touched the ball apprx once every 26 seconds.

An illustration on how to boss the middle... Blue for completed passes, red for missed passes. Kinda also shows what Madrid is missing in the loss of Xabi (& Di Maria)...

I've been preaching to my son about pressing & constantly attacking the ball. I want him to be king of hustle. We watch vids of the likes of Three Lung Park & Puyols. He's been kinda loafing in practice until we spoke about over dinner Sunday night (after a terrible loss to a lesser team than us). He practiced like a made man yesterday & ran all out in technical training last Monday....

Scholes on city's stadium

"At quarter past seven and there’s empty seats everywhere.

When you come here it just doesn’t have a European night feel to it. You go to Liverpool, you go to Old Trafford, you go to Chelsea, they have a special feeling for it.

Tonight I don’t think there is. I don’t think they realise what a big game this is. They’ve got the team, they’ve definitely got the players, the quality is definitely there, but do the crowd realise how lucky they are to be in this competition? I don’t think they do."

Wha game are y'all running into today?

Real Madrid or Atl. Madrid vs Juventus for me, for obvious reasons

Atletico vs Juve seems to be the most compelling game to watch for me... Cholo back on the sidelines seems to have gotten Atleti's mojo back.

HBO's John Oliver talking about the Prem & trying to explain the Prem, Championship, 1st, & 2nd divisions... I think my favorite English blokes outside of Heggsy (lol) are Oliver along with Rodg & Davo from MIB....
