Interesting though, how one can draw the parallel between Liverpools most successful season in what, 6 years? and Suarez being part of the team
Suarez leaves and liverpool magically step down to midtable again after riding high and finishing top 4 last season.
Makes me wonder what Rogers put in the water last season as well....
I will say this though, the season isn't over and Liverpool still have a chance of breaking top 4, hell even winning the league, but as of now the lack of Suarez is felt.
Oh yea and the lack of Sturridge, I completely forgot son was still out...
Suarez spent a little over 3 years at Liverpool and it wasn't until he got a official strike partner in Daniel Sturridge was he able to really flourish. I'm not denying his talent, but to say it was him alone that carried the team is crazy.
Our defense was horrible last year, hence why we were involved in so many high goal scoring games. We scored the most goals last year of any club and still couldn't win the league. We drew against Crystal Palace after being up 3-0.
Well with the absence of SAS along with our defense problems from last season carrying over into the current one plus other problems springing up the team looks like a completely different one from the previous season.
Brendan Rodgers lineups are also trash at times and some of his signings makes no sense. Not sure why we purchased Lovren when we Sakho sitting on the bench. Also not sure why we signed Not sure why he keeps playing Joe Allen while Markovic, Lallana and Can warms the bench.
We signed Balo who is suppose to automatically come in and begin scoring goals even though the service to him hasn't been so spectacular. It just doesn't work that way.I understand his work rate may be questionable at times, but get the man the ball in some better areas instead of giving it to him with defenders swarming him or in some bad angles and expect him to pull a goal out of thin air. However, I think that once Sturridge returns they will be able to link up and we will become a threat. But at the moment I don't know what the hell is going on.
