ADIDAS BBall Boost Thread - BYW, Crazy Explosive & Crazy Light & OTHER BBALL ADJACENT SNEAKERS

Agreed, that is one really nice facility.  There must be some kind of charge for admission, right?

Don't companies test their products there too?  I feel like I read on some company's page that they associate with that institution.

2XU which does a lot of compression stuff tests their product with AIS athletes.

For that night, i didnt have to pay an admissions fee coz the groundskeeper was being nice and i was just shooting around. But usually people who run pickup games there would charge like $5 or so for like 2 hours worth of pickup games.

That's where Simmons and Exum went....you ever see them up there?

One of the comps im playing in used to hold the games there. It wasnt uncommon to see Simmons or Exum and any of the basketball players just shooting around or training at the other courts (there's 5 in that training center). It's crazy how the knock on Exum was pre-draft was he had no shooting but when you see these guys doing drills and playing in some of the local comps here, they would hit jumpshot after jumpshot like it's nothing.

Most of the Aussie guys who's playing in the NBA or overseas in college or Europe has probably at one point been an AIS athlete. Bogut, Delly, Mills etc. all went through the AIS.

Patty Mills actually is a Canberra local and we were in the same age group. Dude was really a cut above everyone else and you could see he was destined to make it big.

Huge fan of these. Played in em 2 nights in a row. Enjoyed em so much already want a 2nd pair but I should wait out for another colorway. Only thing that I think would make em perfect is the outsole material. That translucent is too soft. I don't quite feel amazing grip but it works. Def cop tts if you get em

I'm so impressed with the Crazylight Boost 2016 -  I'd maybe go as far to say it's the 'perfect' performance shoe for me. Went TTS and had a bit of heel slip to start but it soon went away as the shoe seemed to mould to my foot.

- Cushioning is perfect for me, enough court feel whilst still having awesome impact protection.

- Traction is perfect, even on a really dusty court.

- Jacquard is easily one of my favourite materials to play in right now, these and the Lillard 2s are firmly at the top of my rotation with the Kobe XI third.

Probably the first shoe I've ever worn that felt like it had no break in time at all, felt like heaven out of the box. I cannot wait for the Primeknit pairs now (If they actually release)!

Lillard 2 and DRose 6 got a $20 bump in price for the Mi version so hopefully that trend continues.

Hopefully.  I think nike i starting to do that too but it was only 40 instead of 45.  I went on the china site and translated it to english but miadidas didn't work.  Memorized how to get to the shoe and it worked without translation.  3 upper options like the lillard 2 and rose 6.  I wonder why they didn't add the rose also

Always the same material and print on the upper (synthetic, suede, and jacquard). Why no primeknit option. The GRs are okay with me. Rather see the Explosives on mi adidas with primeknit option.

I went TTS on the newer adidas Basketball releases and all fit quite well (CL 2016, CE PK). Really excited the the Explosive Lows!!!

The CE Lows are real omggggg

I hope they make it in nice colorways though, or throw it on MiAdidas because I really just want a nice and simple black colorway and Adidas just doesn't seem to really want to sell that combo.

And the jacquard pattern do not count, I just want it to be a plain black upper and white midsole. The upper, jacquard or not, doesn't always have to have some damn pattern/print.

Maybe I got a bad pair, but I went to try on the Crazy Explosive yesterday (all-red pair).  While the upper was definitely UltraBoost like, the cushioning was a huge disappointment.  I ran and jumped and simulated playing basketball and I could feel NO BOOST.  I was shocked, not even the heel.  There was a weird dip from heel-to-toe, to where I feel like I just had a runner on and that was it.  It was definitely lightweight, but I feel like I was running in a runner with no cushioning.  This, combined with my Rose 6 experiences, just has me scared to get a Boost shoe again.  I did try on the Crazy Light Boost and it was definitely more plush, consistent from heel-to-toe, had Boost in the forefoot, etc.  It may not have been as nice as the Rose 6 (particularly the glow-in-the-dark colorway, that is the only colorway that I could feel the Boost actively plush and bouncy), but it was still nice and something I will definitely pick up later on when on sale.

I wish Adidas could make Boost more consistent, at least to me.  When you put on a Zoom shoe, you will almost always have a consistent Zoom experience (whether that be a good one or a bad one); the feel will be the same throughout each shoe of that type, such as the 2k4.  If you go in a store and try on 3 different pairs, you'll get a similar experience as far as the Zoom is concerned (whether you actually prefer the cushioning feel or not is a different subject).  With Boost, I could try on 3 pairs of the exact same shoe and the Boost will feel different in each of them.

Them crazy explosive lows are def fake lol, can't wait for the real joints to drop though

I've found SneakerNews to be reliable in the past though but not everyone can bat 1.000 hehe
