External hard drives with cloud features.

I need to backup a lot of music and pictures.

I've been skeptical about cloud services but I see Western Digital has an external 2TB HD that has a cloud feature.

I've tried looking into it but not really sure I get it.

I watched a review online that's says you can back up the files during scheduled backups to a PC or another external hard drive. Are the files saved on the hardware itself or online?

Anyone own one or a HD that's similar? Thoughts on it?

What type of computer do you use? I just have an AirPort Extreme I plug my 3tb HDD In that I keep my music on for my mac

I have a Toshiba laptop from 2011. Its been going real slow(I doubt the storage is the reason). I was interested because I wanted to access my music or pics when I'm away.
