I purposely booked a hotel in Fremont so I can see the area around SF. I don't know if It was a good idea but flight lands in San Jose anyway. I rented a car so can you tell me what to do and If I will have to pay tolls on the way up.  Also can I park in SF?  Ill be going Friday-Sunday.  Thanks and let me know if you need more information.

Anywhere from 35 min to an hour you gotta pay toll. Also parkings a *****. Be prepared to drive steep *** hills

If anything just take Bart its like 45 min. Everything SF has to offer can be provided with public transportation or walking

Might as well just stay in San Jose and drive up. It's not far at all. And if you wanted the scenic route. You would take. 280 from San Jose. To San Francisco. And coming back cross the bridge to 880 thru oakland back down to Fremont or San Jose.

That was a mistake to book a hotel in Fremont.

LOL dude your like 10 cities off, lol u just made way more work for yourself.
Op dun goof

You can take Bart in which will solve the parking issues. The worst part about SF if you are not used to it is the one way streets, especially if you have no idea where you are going. But this all depends on what you want to do in SF. If you are just doing tourist stuff, Bart and a cab/uber/bus can get you to a lot of place. If you are trying to cover tons of area in one day, then maybe a car might be ideal. Some people expect to go see the Golden Gate Bridge and then go to say Twin Peaks by public transportation and that along can take a couple of ours to do.

Booked a hotel in Fremont but wants to go to SF?

That was a mistake but I hope you got a good deal. Do you already know what spots you want to hit while here? Also parking in downtown is going to cost you a lot. SJ

If you're in for a burrito when you land check out iguanas

330 S 3rd St
San Jose, CA 95112

It's about 5 min away from the airport by car. La Vic's is bomb to.

No idea why you booked a hotel in Fremont. Could've easily booked a cheap one in San Bruno and taken a short BART ride to SF

Just take Bart.

Parking in SF is a *****.

True, but with Uber and Lyft, driving & parking troubles in SF don't exist if you don't mind paying a few extra bucks for the convenience. I haven't used BART in almost a year. Find a cheap/free parking spot close to everything (Best Buy parking lot on Harrison St) and take Uber/Lyft everywhere. $5-7 Uber ride to exactly where you want to go vs a couple bucks on BART that may or may not require you to walk an extra 15-20 minutes to your destination

Like everyone else I utterly fail to see the logic in visiting the Bay Area with intentions of spending time in San Francisco/Oakland and booking a hotel in Fremont.

I'm from Fremont. Take Bart, use other public transportation and/or Uber when in the city. If you must drive, might as well stay in SJ and take 101 or 280 and avoid toll.

But seriously, will this be your 1st time in the Bay Area?
What do you like to do? Are you into sightseeing? Food? Shows?

Im only gna do sf one day and probably just drive through for experience . I want to do more outdoor stuff around that area. A girl im seeing is in fremont thats why i booked a hotel there. I got 600 dollars for three days hotel, car, breakfast.

Just take Bart
The drive to sf ain't that bad u can take dumbarton or San Mateo or bay bridge
Each has toll and various depending on traffic wait times
Parking in sf may be a hassle or u can just pay at the parking garages
They are everywhere downtown
Enjoy ur trip

What are the best healthy food spots the bay area, it doesnt have to be in SF. Also I want to go to monterrey.  Im not only doing SF the city.
