Thread about Jesus - Questions, Bible Verses and Prayer Requests

What about Brahma? Could you elaborate a bit? Thanks.

Brahma is the father of human creation in Hindu texts. The universe is believed to be created then destroyed constantly evolving through the process. One of these cycles is known as brahma age (4 billion years)

To make this bible related and put these frauds on display even more: Much like Abraham was the father of the Israelites with his wife Sarah, Brahma had a wife named Saraswatti. Notice how close the names are. Brahma is said to be the father of human civilization as well in the Hindu tradition.

Before they come in here with the usual.... Were talking BILLIONS of years versus a measly 6,000

if men were indeed Gods, why are there several verses in the Bible that say there is only 1 ?
heres one, 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

the passage in John has a lower case god and that is fine purposefully. God was giving the men a position of authority . Read all of chapter 82, you'll see the word god a few times all with lower case "g" and God telling those men to judge and defend.

Just go to the source. The Hebrew texts says clear as day "Elohims." Remember the KJV bible came from there and not the other way around. And the context is about at straightforward one could desire.

TBH at this point I don't know if there is one god or 3 gods. Earlier they said "let's make man in our image" alluded to the fact god was 3 entities.

Now your saying there is only one god. For a god that will come in your heart so easily if all you do is ask, this dude is confusing. I don't know if he's rolling solo or with 2 homeboys. Help me out.

Follow closely. According to you, I was never a Christian despite the fact that I believed just as you believe now. Therefore, how can you call yourself a follower of Christ now if there's a chance you may not believe in the future. Us former Christians thought we would follow Christ our whole lives. Can you see into the future?
As I said, I know Christ in spirit.
We thought we did, too. Since you say we never knew because we don't believe now, that means you may not know because you can't see into the future. How do you know you won't become like us?

This is the surest I've been in my two decades on earth.

I don't know the future.

I have decided to follow Jesus,

and there is no turning back.

Can't answer any clearer than this.

The Man Jesus Christ (peace be upon him)? I thought you said he was god? Someone also said he was son of god? Please give us one straight forward answer

I could ask every devout Christian 3 basic simple questions and get different answers? Why is there a lack of consistency? Is that interpretive?

When you say "I decided to follow christ and there is no turning back" do you mean even in reasonable doubt, one of the few things that makes us conscious beings.

Do you have any dissonance at all that he exists

It sounds to me like you still only think you know god since you acknowledge that you don't know the future and can't predict the person you will be many years from now. In which case, you're not different than we used to be.

Two things... First, man shouldn't be judgemental right? And to love your fellow man right? Well what if a person gives you a negative vibe? Is that judgemental?

Second, can I get a prayer for a breakthrough? The man upstairs knows what I'm talking about lol

I respect your belief but You gotta ask yourself if it's hindering you from expanding your knowledge. I think upon further discovery of information if you approach it with a mind that is able to entertain new ideas without accepting them more truth will be revealed to you and you may find Christ in a whole different way. Or you may not? Worst case scenario you attained the knowledge while maintaining your faith. Just don't let the faith ****** you from building wisdom. Seems to me that you can you can weed out most of the bs that your average Christian can't so IMO your head is on right and I commend u for that. But you've got to break that spell that book has on you so u can grow more. I'm not claiming to be an authority on anything cuz I'm not I'm far from it I'm just an individual who's always had an inherent passion for the truth and you seem to share that sentiment. just some food for thought.

"The first thing you learn when you go to school is how to spell. Words are spelled to create a sentence of terms. Think of a jail sentence or a prison term. The Wyrd sisters in Greek mythology were Fates or witches who controlled the fates of man. In our language we use curse words and cursive writing. We cuss and dis-cuss. Words have meaning and (are) mean things especially cross words. They can be used to make a point. We use a "con" verse to converse in order to keep us off course in our dis-course as a phrase frays. We use catch words. A story is a spiel or a spell. It is all part of the gospel of the Godspell or God's spell."

Just wanted to put this out there. The English language as we know it is a lie. From top to bottom. Any time we say something it's inquiring on something we don't know. We usually respond with an answer that doesn't encompass everything we intend to communicate. The foundation of fabrications is usually the basis we build our relationships upon. In essence the English language and really any language is to communicate how much we don't know. Over the years we've gotten very proficient at saying we don't know anything and in turn it's almost become a learning mechanism.

I say all that to say this, OP by starting this thread you've clearly illustrated how much much you don't know or are unsure of. That's not a personal knock because I'm just as ignorant as you are. A lot of times when we bring things up for discussion, it's usually for our peers to reinforce it as a reality or were trying to speak it into existence ourself because we fully don't believe it. If this is what you embodied and known in your heart to be true you wouldn't have to discuss it because it would be pointless. I hope this kinda shows why symbology and sacred geometry was so important to the ancients.

Philippians 4:9

What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

At any rate OP and to everyone who participated in this thread, I got love for all y'all and I hope what ever your heart and mind desires gravitates to you so you can reap the benefits in your personal endeavors.

Not to cape here, but I recall Durty making this thread to shed light on God/Christ. Him doing so is one of the missions us Christians have. To spread the Good news...

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)

Doesn't seem like someone trying to reassure themselves.

No joke, this was another peave of mine in the church: people who felt like, as long as they use the Bible, they are completely justified and/or right.

It's called self-righteous.

Was supposed to say... "Of course I could be completely wrong" and leave it at that?

^aka doing the "great work" but if your interpretation of said good news is incorrect than somebody who knows better is not out of bounds for trying to correct you.

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths,

but only such as is good for building up,

as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear

Ephesians 4:29

Can be constructive judgement, meaning its out of love.

But if it is not of God, I'd avoid it.

Prayer sent and God bless you.

Is there a present day Abraham? Has God given children to those who couldn't bear children in our generation? How did God speak to Abraham? Was it through his conscience? I want God to speak to me so that I know he exists.
You are LITERALLY asking yourself to be convinced that 'he' exists, bro.

Think about that.

'He' hasnt been made as clear to you in a way as natural as the first breath you took, so you are begging for further convincing.

And you'll get it; you'll be convinced... because you want to be.

Children raised in the church believe in 'god' because they are literally taught from birth that 'he' exists; it's NOT NATURAL.

I know Elohim means God, but the word has more than one usage, and we see that in the pasage of Psalms 82

I just find it a little ironic how the BEST preventative medicines and nutrients for my bodily growth and survival are sticking out of the ground and falling off the trees. How random is that?

God is made of 3 parts, but is still 1 deity, 1 existence, 1 God.
the 3 parts are:
God the father
God the son (jesus)
God the Holy Spirit.
I posted this yesterday.

God took the form of man, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. He did not stay dead, he resurrected 3days later.
