Thread about Jesus - Questions, Bible Verses and Prayer Requests

2. It doesnt in life. A person who lives a good life is equal to any other regardless of why they do it. But unless they accept God and ask for forgiveness before death they cannot enter into heaven.

So what about the people living in ignorance who have no idea that this particular deity exists?

They're doomed to hell? Same for babies born in childbirth who were too young to accept Christ?

Babies cannot know God. Thats why they are baptized to be saved but later confirm once they are able to make those decisions. Idk what church doctrine says but I would assume they enter into heaven.

People who are "ignorant" and dont acknowledge God go to hell. Its not pleasent sounding but thats the black and white answer.

What makes them any different from the children dying in child birth?

I gotta start paying more attention when I'm replying on a mobile device. You think you deleted something and you didn't :smh:

Random.

Im of the type of Catholic who believes that the Big Bang was started by God and Earths life was made by Him. The Bible is often not meant to be taken literally. I dont at least. Science and Religion do not have to be at odds with eachother. People who dont believe in evolution.. idk. Do you.

As for the babies thing. Babies brains cannot allow them to form any thoughts or to know God. Non believers certainly do. Not remotely similar.

Now two questions

1) Why pick NT to spread your word to? Do you have an interest in sneakers or were you just throwing darts and one hit our little community here?

2) If one is living a good life in order to please Christ and enter heaven, why does this make them a better person than someone living a good life simply because that's how people are supposed to coexist with each other?
Been on NT since 11 or 12, forgot how long now.

We are physically equal, but spiritually different.

In God's eyes we are all sinners,

whether we do things in belief

it is what God wants

or for the sake of humanity

it won't change that fact.

When he sees a born again Christian,

he sees Christ in them.

When he sees a man good in the worlds eyes

he sees a sinner.

What if the man is good in all aspect other than he doesn't have christ in his life.

Meaning he is good in all facets of Christianity other than that. Specifically if his lack of belief in a deity is simply due to the fact the he/she has not been told about them. For example there are many places in Asia and China that have been untouched by the outside world.

Is its Christ's will that they are doomed to hell just because they weren't 'blessed' with the knowledge?

Ok I agree with your first statement but would you remind looking at my other reply to Raspburry in regards to 'non-believers'

Its simple dude. Anyone who doesnt accept God and request forgiveness any time before death cannot enter Heaven. Might seem cruel but thats how it is. Inversely, a terrible person who asks for forgiveness on their death bed will be saved.

Doesn't that seem inherently wrong to you?

I did do 9 years or so of Catholic school and have read the Bible so I know most of the answers to these questions but it just confuses me to why these are still acceptable answers to people who heartily partake in this religion

I don't know for sure.

His will is for you to accept.

The Father doesn't damn someone based off ignorance

He damns them based on the failure to repent.

Ok I can appreciate you admitting that most of this is a mystery to you as well

Do you have any thoughts on the post i had on evolution further up the page?

Ok

Sure.

Evolution is a belief, just like religion.

You need blind faith to honestly

believe what scientist tell you

occurred in the past.

You haven't experienced evolution.

You can't observe it, but you can imagine

from fossils how life could have been back then.

And even when you believe you've come

to a conclusion of origins

you still fail to answer.

"Who created it"

But I encourage you to stay on the topic of Christ,

and leave evolution for its on thread.

God bless ya.

Op do you celebrate Christmas on the 25th even though it says nothing anywhere in the bible about December 25th. If the answer is yes why do you think that particular date was chosen and what is it that you think it truely pays homage to if not the birth of Christ

I will drop it after one more point.

We can observe evolution by using animals with short life spans we can show evolution taking place.

I will respect your thread and drop the subject as a whole but it is a fact and I don't like when religion conflicts with proven scientific discoveries

If god is perfect then why would he create imperfect creatures?

Why would he have the tree of knowledge within range of Adam and Eve to betray his trust? Why did god not foresee this and stop it?

Why would god allow slavery to happen and not only that, tell you how to beat your slave and separate him from his family if need be?

Why is there no evidence of Jews being slaves in Egypt?

Why would god have a "chosen" people? Why aren't all people his chosen ones?

How do you know the bible is in its totality?

I don't expect you to answer any of these but I thought it was worth shot since no Christian has been able to answer these questions to me.

These are some damn good questions man.

Like Easter, its on the same day of a Pagan holiday.

It was assigned as the day to celebrate the

birth of Christ, to kill off the Pagan stigma.

I think its fine as long as you truly

honor Christ on that day.

If you have convictions from celebrating it then

listen to the Lord.

1. God loves all creatures he creates. He sees not physical imperfection but spiritual perfection.

2. Free will. Also they were his first crack at Humanity.

3. The Bible was not written by God. It was written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is a very old book and things were different then. Also free will.

4. There is.

5. Again the OT was written by Jews. Of course they saw themselves as the chosen. And they were.

6.We dont.

Evolution is just a theory anyway right guys?

The theory part comes from the exact mechanism of evolution. Even that is becoming less and less argued as we're able to exact upon the actual method in which it occurs.

Among scientists and people who have put in the leg work there is no argument that it happens
