From what I've read, the Murrays did use Texas as leverage against Sumlin.

Sumlin wanted full control of Kyler's deveiopment, but Kevin still wanted to work with his son under Sumlin's blessing. The Murrays approached Texas to get they wanted out of Sumlin.











But yeah, probably a bigger duffle bag too.

Very high chance IMO.

But it's still very important to win the recruiting battle against Texas.

This could be the second time in a few years A&M loses a 5 star QB to MLB.

I haven't been following the recruiting process at all this year. Fellow Miami fans, how are we doing? I see that both Rivals and ESPN has us on the lower end of the top-25, which isn't bad, but is lower than where we've usually been the last couple of years under Golden.

Just watched a little bit of film on Vernon Adams.

Seems to be a very quick, elusive runner. Some of his pocket maneuverability was pretty darn good. Looks to have a decent arm. His delivery looked a tad long at times though.

Oregon right now needs to find somebody (in-house or elsewhere) that can effectively distribute the ball to the skill guys. Hell, even a Darron Thomas type guy would be fine at this point. WIth guys like Addison, Freeman, Tyner, Allen, Brown, and others, there is speed and talent at every skill position (I'd argue perhaps the best overall group of skill position players in the country).

Oregon's next QB doesn't need to be the all-world caliber quarterback that Marcus Mariota is (it's okay if he wants to though), just a guy that doesn't turn the ball over and manages the game well.If Vernon is that guy, then great.

It's a shame the team couldn't win a title for Marcus

He's an attention *****. He's what's wrong with the recruiting process, from the athlete perspective. The less kids like him, the better.

But he's a hell of a player.
