Couldn't give this enough exclamations but, let's not be "those guys" all elitist and what not. All newcomers welcome...sorta.
I think he was doing it more specifically in regards to the secret santa to make sure he was legit.

Got the emails.
And yea wasnt on the elitist tip. Just dont wanna get JJ WATT-ed again. Its not fair to the members here

Gotta say I don't agree with buying a case and just returning whatever isn't a Chase, but if they haven't stopped it yet then technically it's not wrong to do. I just find it sheisty and and I'm honestly shocked Gamestop hasn't put a nix on that or made sure when people suddenly order cases of pops that just so happen to have a Chase that one isn't included to prevent that from happening. It's an inventory nightmare I have no doubt. Like I said though until they stop it it's fair game.

Is it easy to do head swaps on non bobble heads? Thinking about doing a base Vegeta with blue saiyan armor

Yeah, as a retail manager, I'd be pissed if someone returns a crate of Pops cuz they didn't get a chase.

Nothing shady about it in my opinion. You're a consumer using a method to make purchases of a specific item. The company isn't a collector being slighted out of anything, they are a big box company getting sales based off the availability of a product. When a company has a guarantee that employees won't hold back product (which I don't care that they do) then we can talk about morality.

I too am a retail manager. In this day and age of the Internet, retail is basically taking stuff back for a living. Lol! It is what it is in all honesty. Why would you be mad if they returned something because they weren't happy with their purchase?

Yeah but it goes two ways.. one side you have employees that take all the chases and the other side of that some places even charge resell prices for a chase. I went to a comic book shop yesterday that wanted $50 bucks for a chase.. and I'm like bro that's not how this works.. it's not the intent of the company producing them that's not how any of this works. So GameStop or this other retail stores that probably pay $1-$2 dollars for a pop are gonna sell em regardless of us returning them. It doesn't hurt them in any way.
