Official NBA 2k15 Thread

I just want to know and see the improvement in the online league aspect. That **** last year was so unorganized and unplayable. It's been a staple on NT every year even though we never finished but one I think  Would like it to be back in all it's glory so the OGs can get back on next gen. Just the menu interface alone is 1000x better than 2K14.

You guys are easily impressed.

I've been playing NBA 2K since 2k2 and I can tell you that my patience for this franchise is wearing thin. The best games they've ever made was NBA 2K8 and 2K11.

They need to seriously fix a lot of the issues they have. It starts with the damn sliding on defense and goes all the way down to in-bounders taking forever to inbound a ball.

Also they make it too advantageous for the defense to full-court press. At least give me an option to call a 3-man weave to hedge against it. The AI pick and roll defense is horrible as well. Even when you set them to hedge "HARD", they don't really do it.

They need to give some room to the in-bounder when they are trying to inbound the ball from the sidelines. Too many times I've had the defense steal the ball from me, because of poor angles.

Anyone else ever face this issue? I play on the 2K camera angle, so whenever I get a steal there's a brief lag for the camera to flip to the other side. This greatly affects my player movement or reaction time.

The point I'm trying to make is that 2K can make a game looking great, but if the gameplay sucks, the game will suck. 2K def has a lot of work to do.

The AI needs some work but some of those issues can be fixed by you making the right plays. For example, no team in the NBA runs a 3 man weave to beat a full court press. Clearing out then either beating the one guy off the dribble or passing to the open man is easy if you stay composed.

Letting the AI play PnR defense for you is a disaster. You need to change and control the big man and make him do what you want to do (trap, hedge, stay back, etc) - then be ready to deal with the back line of the defense. In a perfect world, I'd consider this a problem but so many people play off the ball defense or worse, do anything they can to avoid any defense - that if the AI played perfect team defense, it would be rewarding them. Hopefully the PnR defense ratings fix this though. They've had a tough time differentiating between teams and their defensive strategies.

There are still some issues but I think the positives HEAVILY outweigh the negatives in terms of realistic gameplay. IMO.

Anybody know how to stop the AI from leaving shooters WIDE OPEN at the 3pt line and giving up a thousand offensive rebounds in My team ? Feels like I'm playing 1on5 :smh:

I don't agree at all. The game LOOKS realistic don't get me wrong. But their is way more things 2K does wrong in terms of authenticity on the game play side of things than the real life product. 2K15 looks like the it's still developed with an ice skating/basketball engine which does not make me happy.

so is melo a 90+ rating or what

We've seen 3 of the 90 rated players. I'm thinking the last one is cp3 black mamba there goes that man.
Mamba is an 82.

That disrespect

I hope one day we can see a video of users that actually know how to play the game a little bit  . It seems like every time these videos come out, the gameplay looks worse because the user sucks. I understand its a new game, but it should not be too different from 2k14 judging by the looks of it. That looked like CPU vs CPU play. Maybe it was?

yeezus kryst, they gave him an 82?? ****. If I was him, I'd tell them to just pull me out and they can't use my likeness anymore, and I'd just go back to KB Courtside where I can have a rating of 150 if I want lol.

I'm pretty sure that picture of Kobe as an 82 is him as a rookie/2nd year player.

Either way - after not playing for an entire year, he def shouldn't be a 90 or close to it until he proves it.

As a fan, I'll settle for an 85-86. 82 is straight disrespect. Especially is D.Rose is higher after playing 10 games in 2 yrs.

The ratings don't always matter. A player can still be one of the best in the game with a decent rating. If making Kobe a 86-88 means raising his 3 point shot to a 90+, mid range to a 90+ or defensive abilities to 90+, then it should not happen. I'm sure bedwardsroy will do the right thing, though.
