Official NBA 2k15 Thread

If I am not mistaken, having a FIBA license and having an OIC license are two different things. Not worth it considering those are gimmicks that MOST people wouldn't play. Meaning it wouldn't be worth the price tag.

oh word? damn didnt know all that.

but i meant strictly for MyCareer. like i said its boring after 2/3 seasons.

I see what you're saying. Like how in fifa every four years you can play for your country in the world cup, and play exhibition matches for that country in between those four years.

Although it's a sizzle reel, it's showing me where their priorities seem to be - presentation and gimmicks, like it's been the past few years.

Of course it's just the launch to their marketing, maybe they follow up with a bunch of gameplay details. But this is how it's gone the past few years. All visual; open up the game and the same frustrating **** is there.

Addressing the charge cheese is a small step in the right direction, so if they reveal more improvements to the actual gameplay, then I'd be on board.
A sizzle trailer is meant to grabs eyes from casuals. Nothing more. Nothing less. It isn't showing you an OUNCE of priority other than they want people to buy and talk about their upcoming title.

NOTHING from that video tells what they are focusing on. I am sorry but you are reaching hard with that one man.

There are plenty of ways you can spruce up your My Player. I think the "let me see how quickly and effectively dominate" the mode makes it stale.

I can people some ways to invigorate that and association mode when I get a chance. I will make a note to get back to you on this.

But I am not sure what they could do. Maybe they could create a off-brand version of the Olympic games but that is assuming My Player makes it to year 4. But I am sure MOST people don't make it to year 4, so again, I doubt they would waste their time on something MOST people wouldn't even make it to.

So far their marketing efforts have come in the form of this sizzle reel, who's cultivating the soundtrack, and all of Ronnie2k's pointless noise on Twitter. Yeah, it's all targeting the casuals - that's my problem. That shows where their priorities are - they're focusing on the dudes who are gonna tweet them, blown away by digital Ernie and Shaq.

This is coming from someone who thinks they need to make major fixes to the gameplay. If you don't, then obviously you won't find Pharrell & a same-looking trailer to be a problem.

But like I said, addressing charges is a good sign... I understand marketing and how they need to appeal to the casuals first. I'm just not so sure actual gameplay improvements are coming second which is why I personally am thinking about passing.

2K does this every year man. Gameplay videos will come out soon. We still are more than a mont away from the release. The Sizzle Trailer isn't made for anyone that wants to know what the game is offering. Be patient and news will trickle out.

They focus on the casuals because the hardcore fans are going to buy the game regardless. That trailer is for the soccer mother that walks into Gamestop to "buy her little boy a game" and happens to see a video of 2K on the screen.

We are catered to with detailed information and gameplay videos.

My point is the lack of news doesn't say a thing about what they have/haven't improved upon gameplay wise.

Yes, I know. All I said is that this trailer didn't do anything to change my mind. They could still release non-sizzle stuff that could change my mind.

i watch the Doris Burke halftime interviews every time, if that matters. don't even like it and you can probably find me lip syncing at times, but i am getting my moneys worth.

The Charge joint was good. I also flopped a lot in 2k14. Its good for those people who just think they can run around

agreed. It's effective when used against pple that can't shoot jumpers abd drive in every time. Predict where they gonna drive towards and beat then to the spot. Charge every time.

I swear players that can't shoot are THE WORST in 2k. Andre Miller, MKG, and Shawn Marion type players are completely useless.

Defensively, Marion and MKG are solid.

Andre Miller gets a few post buckets for me in my Wizards association as well.

Not useless.

Damn, I abused the hell out of the charge button. I'd step infront of the in bounding receiver and hold charge. I'd get a charge call that way 2-3 times a game. The charge is a good defensive play.

So, you see nothing wrong with this? That's Good D?

I've rolled with Sixers every year since I started playing 2k11. 2k14 was rough, especially when we traded Spencer Hawes and ET. Heck even Jrue Holiday before the season started. I'm already anticipating 2k17 when the Sixers actually become a playoff contender lol.

Maybe I should roll with other teams to freshen it up.
