Official NBA 2k15 Thread

The charge cheese can be avoided, but its still a dumb move. This is why 80% of my time in 2k is dedicated to the Association. I play a few homeboys that play sim ball as well, but that's about it. I stay away from online play for the most part, but I did play the My Player street mode for a while in 2k14. I'm excited about 2k15 because they are bringing back the customization of the Association mode (or whatever the new name for it is).

Adjusting the sliders, having the right rosters, etc. will make the experience against the computer better than playing against someone online (at least IMO). This is only if you play sim basketball, though.

agreed. It's effective when used against pple that can't shoot jumpers abd drive in every time. Predict where they gonna drive towards and beat then to the spot. Charge every time.

I swear players that can't shoot are THE WORST in 2k. Andre Miller, MKG, and Shawn Marion type players are completely useless.
Andre Miller is GOAT bruh. He can post up all PGs and score.

They need to bring back association foreals..I thought mygm would be OK, but its turrrrible. Pls 2k give me my damb association mode back

I got drafted by SAC too. Boogie, Gay, and I were unstoppable :pimp:

I like all the points you made, the game gets boring after 2 seasons.

i was offline before i started. so all offline VC and all that. had no idea til i tried to change kicks lol but that means i was playing with the old rosters. so Vasquez, Patterson etc.

strictly me & Boogie running the show and Isaiah, Patterson, Thorton for catch and shoot 3s. recipe for the 3time champs

so instead of having the Olympics or FIBA, they should have a pickup game among the players like the Drew Leagues or how they did during the lockout. only during the offseason.

and have players recruit each other after the games during the regular season.

I hate that stupid VC. Team gives me 500 VC a year contract, but it costs 1200 just for a damb shooting sleeve

 Who's idea was this?

If it was realistic, players would get accessories for free. Also wouldn't have to play 60 games in 2k generics :smh: .

I have pitched that idea before.

You should risk the chance of injury though. But you can gain local popularity from whatever "Pro Am" you decide to play in.

The whole off-season needs more activity

Wut, I play head to head matches for money. If its in the game, it's in the game. U damn right I'll attempt taking a charge on every defensive possession. A charge is easily avoidable.

I'd seriously like to kno who you are playing that agrees with that. Nothing more annoying than dealing with a dude who does this every damn play. If u find ur self wondering if this has ever taken place in real life ..well Yea it's cheese. Your a bum.

So you one of those last year who used the euro 3 point shot huh

maybe not injury but fatigue.

and yea offseason in My Career is doo-doo.

playoffs, championship, getting traded option, then 1st game of season.

you know how they have a list of teams that are interested in you? they should have the top 3 teams do an interview to get you through a trade. in the offseason of course. like the draft interviews.

+ ask to team up with someone. like ask the GM to get a superstar on the team or a special skill player. shooter, defender, ball handler etc. at a specific position. 3ptr at the 3, defender at the 2 or 5

and i donf think ive EVER taken a charge in 2K. dont like it in real life, not gonna do it in a game

2k14 charge cheese is unnecessary but I use it under the 3 point line but I do not abuse it to the point where it's considered being a douche.

just played a dude that kept doing that. beat him by 1 point with JJ reddick for the 3. He sends me a message telling me that I suck. huh??!??! The whole game he was waiting for me to inbound then take a charge. The good part is I just started doing my off ball switch before the inbound it would leave chris paul or JJ open getting towards the bucket. if it was cp i would drive and the D would play help then alley to blake or dj. if its reddick try for the 3. And thats what won me the game him cheesing lol.

I don't care if it's 2K14 gameplay, I just want crew. Not the BS "crews" from last year. Actual 2K11 crew.
This and real online association.
They'll never give us that. EVER
NBA 2K15: Tweet From Scott O'Gallagher Claims 1-3-1 and Charge Cheese Elminated
It seems Scott O'Gallagher's presence on the NBA 2K team is being felt already. In a tweet earlier today after the release of the Yakkem trailer, O'Gallagher claimed that both the charging cheese and the 1-3-1 defense are both no longer in the game -- both have been major complaints of sim-heads for quite awhile.

In a tweet clarifying the above statement, Chris Manning said, "When you move your player around them, you will and can dribble around defenders. No more quick-draw charges."

So there is some good gameplay news for you today. How do you like both changes?
I'll believe it when I see it. Dudes had a gravitational pull when they hit the charge button in front of the inbound receiver

Basically. I play online almost exclusively and its rife with cheese. A lot of it isnt hard to combat and I dont lose that often while not cheesing myself but still, I'm wondering if it really is that serious to do the same stuff over and over and over to try and win a game of NBA 2k

Only time I take a charge is when someone does it to me first. Or if the game is on the line and I just ****** up, so I can get the ball back and try again.

I just wanna be able to play when the 2k servers are down ...also I wanna be able to use my second controller in the MyGM or Association modes.

Dudes that abuse turbo hate the charge cheese
not entirely true, you can get caught by even if you're just bringing the ball up walking, or inbouding. plus input lag = slow reaction time

it's easy to beat but it's not fun to play against, that and playing someone that reaches the entire game is annoying as hell
