WC3 heel tab turning yellow help!

I have a DS pair of white cement 3's and the yellow tab is turning yellow. I am traveling around and I was planning to wear my WC3's for a special occasion. I left my WC3's in a sling pack, fully covered away from sunlight. I unpack my shoes to find the tab beginning to turn yellow. Besides paint, what can I do to revive the white and eliminate the yellow? Can I use a Mr Clean Magic Eraser? Also, for my trip back, how should I pack my shoes? Thank you!
