So I recently entered Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's film director contest and my main focus was to share a message that I feel needs to be heard. 





My dream is to become a film director but to also inspire people. What's your dream?





Please take a look at my short (only 2 minutes) film and I hope that it helps push you to go for whatever you want in life 





"Listen" is an inspirational short film about 4 talented young people that learn a valuable lesson that they hold onto for the rest of their lives

Yeah I think it's just like that on this site.

Not a big deal when you can just open it on YouTube.

When will you find out the results of the contest?
 
Umm top 200 will be chosen on August 22 and then after that, they will be choosing the top 20 by: 

1 person going through as the most voted by the public

19 going through by Hollywood judges including Ben and Matt

I honestly don't expect much and just really wanted to share my story. If there is anything that I am an expert at...it's failing lol

I do it for fun because I enjoy it, use my iPhone to record and some app to edit 

People always telling me upgrade to a camera or gopro

I'm only 17 but I'm saving up now to get some equipment 

I live in New England btw

Yeah...i was extremely lucky to have friends and family that believed in my message. I was extremely intimidated by the kids because they're all very talented and work in the industry. I was able to connect with one of the mom's and she helped me find the other 3. It was a crazy experience from beginning to end. On the last day before the deadline, my hard drive and laptop crashed and I lost a LOT of footage. I had to reshoot some of the parts that day and then re-edited it that day to submit. I'm exhausted

Yeah! save up for a camera and just see if it's something that you would take seriously one day haha it's really addictive
