The Thread About Nothing. SNEAKER EDITION

Very confusing pic,why is this guy wearing two different shoes also why is the "NIKE" colored in on the midsole of the diamond turfs?? maybe an error pair kinda like the toe cap 10s?

also the guy in the blue vest appears to be wearing two different jordan 8s....

I'm really starting to like the Broken Backboards.

I'm probably gonna end up folding & cop a pair. :smh:

The thought of dropping 300+ on a pair of Is makes my stomach turn, but I know I'll eventually give in and do the same

It's "Shattered" by the way

Kobe should have stayed with adidas

Look at that one shoe that looked like a toaster. ...yea it was weird but it was forward thinking and that was more than 10 years ago.....imagine if they kept progressing to today.

His last 2 sneakers may have been designed by kanye west..

all his adidas design wise are better than his nikes.

To true! They were taking off, with his line! The moon boot kobe 2s, 3s, were NICE. That rape incident dulled, the luster. I wish he'd stayed with Adidas.

IIRC the rape thing happened after he had already left Adidas. Kobe was still signed with Adidas in the 02/03 season, but hated the Kobe IIs so much he reverted back to wearing the Kobe Is for a short time before Adidas got into it with him, saying he had to wear the Kobe IIs to sell more of his latest sneaker. He didn't like this, so even though he was still under contract with Adidas, he started wearing Nikes, Jordans, Reeboks, Etc. for the rest of the season. He got out of his Adidas contract and signed with Nike. The Huarache 2k4 was supposed to be his first signature shoe with Nike, but last minute they pulled his name from the shoe due to the rape allegations. Nike still kept him under contract, but did so quietly, without a signature model, until the rape trial was over and he was found innocent.

2k4 Huaraches take me back. The black and chrome colorway was THE it sneaker to have on court when I used to play ball

Has Nike ever made any shoes out of Goatskin leather? Stuff is amazing.

I know they use it on batting gloves, but ever on any shoes?
