I wish JB would retro the Trunners. Found out about those awhile back and they are actually pretty sweet.

I loved the JB Trunner line. I would love to see them re-release.

I remember the OGs getting recalled because they had an adjustable metal heel counter that had the potential to slice peoples achilles tendons.

There was also a similar Nike running shoe with the same technology that also got recalled for the same reason.... anyone know what those were called ? I think there was a navy/yellow colorway.

I liked the footaction exclusive trunners...the first ones that had two straps
I think there was an all blue carolina and a Michigan cw along with the black reds.

They retroed some I think but they added an air bubble.

I just didn't like trunners from an aesthetic point of view. They just weren't my cup of tea. I remember the recall. I can't front though, JB has gotten lazy overall. In the early days there seems to have been way more variety in their line other than numbered retros. They even used to make boots and shoes like this...

Nike and JB used to have tons of variety. So many different silhouettes in addition to the retro offerings. Now its all retros or free/lebron/kd/kobe/flyknit in 29827498234923479 colorways

Just to take another whack at the proverbial dead horse, Nike has bastardized the foamposite line. Jeezus.

I find it disgusting, but I'm conflicted because I do enjoy the black suedes.

Black Cement III's are a good shoe, but I don't like it. I had 3 distinct opportunities to cop in 2001, my last chance being able to cop them for $30. I passed. I like the White/Cement III's better. They're so clean to me. 

I don't have a "go to" shoe anymore. It used to be the black/red XI when I had a second pair. I sold them like a dummy. 

Regrets in terms of shoes

-not copping both blk/red and white/navy XVI's

-passing on a second pair of '00 SJ

-passing on Laney V's from 2001

-not getting those '00 concords for free, even with them not being my size

I disagree. I think the Lebron IV is. It's made with actual foamposite material and was way more comfortable than I expected. I should have copped, now I have to scour for a pair.

don't think there's going to be anything "like a jordan 3" for this generation. the design is much more classic and subtle compared to nike's post 90s design language imho.

my shoe regrets would be:

not getting a pair of lebron 2s or 3s

passing on black/silver jordan 6 lows

not getting  2nd pair of cool grey jordan 4s, black/metallic 5s and olive 5s

and destroying my white/navy xvis

the jordan 3 is iconic, high performance, and high fashion

it could be worn by a baller like michael jordan but used for fashion like Kanye west

Brought iconic things like jumpman, elephant print

brought new technology in form of vis air

lebron 8

basically worn by anyone, but high tech for lebron james (duh)

also luxurious (dat leather though)

heck, do i even need to explain sprite, south beach, flamingo, entourage, all star, christmas, etc

welp: much better design of  flywire and visible air max (7s had it first though) also brought hyperfuse into the game

Theres a black gold cw of the 3s thats waaaay underrated.
Gold eyelets....nice matetials.
