Did the cop make racist comments before, during, or after the incident? Did he reportedly have a past with dealing with personal racism problems? I don't see anything like that in the article. On top of all that if you research further you will find accusations of the kid stealing candy, as well as possibly reaching for his waistband/pockets before he was fired upon. I'm also getting conflicting reports on how many cops opened fire as well as how many times this kid was shot, ranging from 2-10 times. Clearly all the information isn't even out yet, but you are all quick to sit on the internet and claim racism, and the 'man' trying to consistently keep us down, but it's based on nothing except for preconceived notions about the officers motivation. What about the "preconceived notions" about the victim?  

You don't have to be George Wallace standing in the schoolhouse door to harbor a toxic, malicious racist stereotype deep within your subconscious.

If, in that nanosecond when the victim allegedy reached into his pocket (as Amadou Diallo is accused of doing), a police officer is led to believe that a young Black man represents an "elevated risk", that is IMMEASURABLY troubling.  

It doesn't have to be "I'm looking for an excuse to kill this person."  How many of these cases have we seen over the years?  And, EVERY single time, people find some excuse for it.  What of the collective body of cases?  

The same impulse that leads a person to roll up their windows in a "sketchy" neighborhood (code word), the same impulse that leads someone to clutch their handbag a little tighter when passing by a Black man on the street, is all that is necessary to lead a police officer to develop an elevated/irrational fear in cases like this one and reach for their sidearm in "self defense."

It seems bitterly ironic, with an unarmed teenager dead from MULTIPLE gunshot wounds, to say "don't rush to judgment," when that's exactly what killed him.

There's no question that images hold power, and we allowed an image of the blood on the street - which is powerful enough.  If someone can't summon the humanity to care about that, they simply won't be moved.

Haddiya Pendleton, Shamiya Adams, were innocent young girls killed. That's just two out of so many more. Don't sell it like it's thugs killing other thugs. It's a WARZONE. Just because it's taking place in the hood and not in the upper echelon areas, doesn't mean it's ok.

naw its all good just making a point that you guys are here to enforce the rules. You know rules are being broken in that thread. Nobody reported the content that was removed in this thread you guys came in and did it because you"felt" it broke the rules.. But the other booty thread is 99% booty pics but still allowed to continue. Im not going to report thousands of booty pics, but I was just showing what goldenchild was referring to. Its all good

On another note, police are gathering all video survillence from the area. They already coached the cop shooter. They got their story h, he reached for the gun

The witnesses that are on camera they will find dirt on them to make them change their story

That's a petty distraction.

You're not going to report the posts because you don't care.  So, spare me the insincerity.  

We remove countless avatars and other images that are deemed "NSFW" due to lewdness.  We pinned an announcement reminding users to refrain from exactly that.  Everyone was up in arms because a story that violated these rules was deleted from the "elderwatsondiggs story thread."  Obviously we ARE enforcing that rule. 

Now, not EVERY photograph of a model is considered "NSFW."  As such, we don't ban "female appreciation" threads outright.  If an offensive image is there, it's because it wasn't reported, not because the staff doesn't care.  You tell me what's more likely to be reported and considered offensive by our members:  a picture of a model's backside or a picture of a bloody, lifeless body.   

Now stop distracting from the subject at hand.

This is an idea that I have supported for a while but the problem with it is the cost.

Until the operation costs go down this will never be implemented on a grand scale.
