Sounds like some DHS **** really IS going down.
This is a perfect lab scenario for civil unrest. Maybe this is a glimpse of our future as a nation? As the poor get poorer and the middle class is eliminated, what's around the corner could be worse than this.
Not to be a downer, but I'm losing hope for this country.

My neighbor kept trying to get me to watch this Martial law DVD he had and kept saying how it was coming and I always gave him the side eye...he's moved away and I have no way of telling him he was right

In all honesty after seeing what is going on in Ferguson with cops as a whole helping to attack protestors, macing children, firing rubber bullets, raiding churches, raiding homes, refusing to give names or badge #'s, threatening to shoot people in the face..... would you really with a serious face go up to them and tell them the majority of cops are good, just a select few ruin things

There is an OBVIOUS lack of leadership going on within the Ferguson PD, or maybe I should say "good" leadership as they appear to have been lead astray by awful people in power there.
I'd be willing to bet a lot of the people from outside Ferguson that were brought in such as the guys in the Guard want not parts of being there to begin with... Someone called them up while they were eating dinner a few days ago and said get your *** up and come be an "enemy" to thousands of protesting people. I'm sure there's a ton of frustration built up with many of these guys.
The fact that the some or most of the police are debadging themselves is disgusting. Trying to remove any accountability.
More evidence of complete lack of leadership is the scenes of the cops pointing guns at people... Dudes are not trained for this, not even trained to carry the guns that they're pointing to begin with.

but officers were there last night 'stalking' the people at the church, basically doing recon mission

it's not coming as a whole such as the entire nation but if they have to enforrce on certain cities or states such as Ferguson yes it is coming

You're not being a downer, you are being realistic. Things can't continue on this path because it will get ugly and governments have been preparing for a while now.

Cops should be held to a higher standard - they have authority. It's also not one singular cop on the scene right now. If one cop is acting out of line, there's others there to put him in place. The entire police force is blamed because instead of weeding out and punishing those who act unjustly - they protect them and condone their actions most of the time.

Yea Marshall Law is basically when the military completely take over a city....kinda unofficaly already happening with the curfews, weapons, police out there now
