Police Kill Unarmed Teen In Ferguson, Missouri

Did the police really have to show up with AR-15s and army fatigues though? Did they really think that is a proper way of "calming down" a situation, but trying to coerce people?

The mainstream media is calling peacful protestors with their hands in the air, who were spinkling rose petals and "angry mob" looking for police blood.

Trolls like Lion Blood and the kid with the Lakers avy are going to come in here and derail any legitimate discussion of the topic.

But I can't post pics of what happened because there is a grainy depiction of blood?

That's BS.

I disagree, just like you deemed it disrespectful for them to have him laying there.

There's nothing to gain from seeing a body laying on the ground in this topic. It's dehumanizing enough.

seeing the body does more to your mind than reading that it was lying there.

goldenchild9 goldenchild9 I had to delete that post out respect for the kid and his family. And it was to graphic for NT.

NO PUT IT BACK

People need to see this.

It's not gratuitous gore it's news.

Stop the BS.

I know, but it's too much for NT. Post a link to it so people can choose if they want to see it or not. And I still thinks it's disrespectful to him and his family.

I broke no RoC.

Put my post back.

The way that the police handled this needs to be shown to the world.

The crime is already done, we are being dehumanized around the clock, it needs to be chronicled so people can see how serious it is.

Stop hiding it like embedded journalists in US wars.

Real pictures of violence is what got people to mobilize against Vietnam.

Real imagery is needed now.

If that were your friend or family member, would you feel the same way?

Yes, if my friend or family member was shot and killed while having no weapon on him.

I would want his picture on the front page of every single website on the planet.

EVERY SINGLE WEBSITE ON THE PLANET! I would want every person in the world to have to see what the police did to somebody I loved.

I urge y'all that keep deflecting as if these are always purely coincidence to watch the African Americans documentary series. So convenient to forget when life is comfy for you.

Post stats of how many times a police officer shoots and kills a civilian per capita then compare it to murder rates in some of these high crime areas.

And just like clockwork here you go with this bs...you comparing paid and trained civil servants with a job to some street cats... But you just bring up a good point, a black life isn't of any value to anybody, cops, other blacks who out here killing, white ppl

If that were your friend or family member, would you feel the same way?

Yes, if my friend or family member was shot 10 times for having no weapon on him.

I would want his picture on the front page of every single website on the planet.

Exactly.

So would I.

The video of Eric Garner's body laying dead on the concrete staring into space was more graphic that the pic I posted.

Should we stop posting pics of lynching from the 50's and 60's too?

Emmitt Till's family only got delayed justice because of the graphic nature of the crime and the pics being absorbed by the public.

Now everyone wants to sprinkle pixie dust and pretty filters over our oppression. Which is helping it to continue unabated.

But Yall let racists troll their way through every thread? ...ight

I understand y'all are upset, but have some respect for the grieving. Recognize you're on the internet with a global audience.

That's exactly what I'm recognizing. This needs to be seen globally.

How deep and unfinished will their grieving be if this gets swept under the rug like dozens of other instances because it cycles out of the public conscience?

This is a visual society.

I didn't post a close up of his entry wound and brain matter. It was a blurry camera phone image from across the street.

Yeah this is absurd, they have no effin clue what damage control even means, they out there excersicing MUSCLE and nothin else, showing the public they have numbers and weapons and that they shouldn't be **** with as opposed to sympathizing with a mourning community, the justice system is an absolute joke.

Mods, why was my post deleted? I didn't violate ROC. All I did was state what would happen, then give a solution I felt would be suitable.

Please let me know why my post was deleted.

Regular civilians can't show their weapon to get "an advantage" and it's provoking, but when the police do it, it's for protection. **** is ridiculous.

i disagree. ppl need to see. this was somebody's child out there laying face down on the ground from gunshot wounds to his head and to his back.

**** that.

put it back and leave it there. if ppl stop sugar coating this type of stuff maybe ppl will actually rise up and do something rather than just saying what a shame it is until something else happens.

What BS? I challenged you to compare the rates of cops killing black kids to black kids dying of other violent causes.

That has nothing to do with this thread.

STOP TROLLING.

Only thing this is missing is this opportunist Al Sharpton to show up, can't stand that dude.

if him showing up is the difference between this being a local story that gets pushed to the side and a national story that creates dialogue then i'm all for al getting involved.

for all the bs he gets he actually does do good whether SOME ppl want to admit it or not.

anyway, going back to what i said earlier, i think if americans really saw how some situations were, unfiltered, our opinion on a lot of things would change (palestine vs israel, what isis is doing in iraq, etc. immediately comes to mind).
