Why do we take a cops story and investigation as gold standard where there have beenbcountless incidents of them going above and beyond to protect their interests?

I guess people just get mad and protest shootings everyday, right?
 
Given the numerous fabricated stories STL PD / Ferguson PD have provided recently and in the past,

nobody should believe their accounts the moment they are provided.

No one.

what microscope? I work with 97% white people they act like none of this **** happens because it doesn't affect them

the idea that a cop would shatter a car window with children in the car over a seat belt seems "******ed" but it just happened

the idea that a cop strangled a black man on the street in the middle of the day over cigarettes seems "******ed" but it just happened

the idea that having a toy gun that store cameras show you picked up in their aisle would warrant being shot on sight by cops seems "******ed" but it just happened

witness accounts cant be taken seriously.. why because they come from black people?

but the word of the guy who just shot someone 16 times is as good as gold?

Yes, I do. Why? Because in the past two or three years alone that's exactly the **** that's been going on. Again, there's a pattern here, but let's ignore that. Conveniently.
 
So because I'm white it's hate? You know damn well that the national news has been reporting every time a cop in STL takes a * or blows his nose. The departments have clearly been telling their officers to avoid needless confrontation and to play it safe. Police are not demons, okay. They are just people with a badge. I can't take those people seriously because the blatant lies and misinformation given as "witness accounts" for previous cases. If they'll burn down a QuikTrip for justice what makes you think they won't lie on a Vine to get a cop locked up.

Also... cosign on white people not giving a damb. i work in an office where its me and 4 black people on a floor of 80 folks... i'm pretty popular around these parts so people see and speak and i have a good rapport w/ folks...

a good deal of those people think MB deserved what happened b/ c they watch the news... and most dont even care.

if the cops wont cover up and blatantly lie about shooting a kid, releasing video that has nothing to do w/ the case, and with hold evidence...

what makes you think they wont lie about another situation?

It's very clear that you don't trust a word that comes out of a cop's mouth. And I don't trust any nonsense witness accounts from protesters looking for attention. Just wait for what actually happened to come to light. We can say I told you so later.

What you don't understand is if the cops are telling the story without the accounts of the witnesses we will never know what really happened.
 
The anti cop sentiment in here is disappointing. Wait till all the facts come out.
 
Who needs to lie on cops tho? That's what I'm confused about. 9 times outta 10 those people know their word doesn't mean **** to people like you, so why feel the need to tell stories about something they witnessed? Ain't nobody gonna sit there and watch a boy die a brutal death, only to lie about it. What are they getting out of that? The police have all the resources on their side and nothing is changing that.

stop. i trust cops. not all cops are bad. my brother is a cop. so you're just sounding foolish. i've constanly said not all cops are bad on this board...

but..

OK... you're right.

you dont believe multiple eye witnesses all having similar stories b/c they want attention (i'm not sure how you can assume every single eye wintness account is someone clamoring for attention)

and...

i dont believe a corrupt system of cops that have a history of targeting blacks and protecting their own, with the only ounce of salvation is if someone just so happens to be recording on their cell phone, which really just came into play in the last 6 years.
 
He lied about what? What happened in the store, an incident that had nothing to do with his friend being murdered? Did his story still not line up with everybody else's that saw what happened that day for the most part?

Again, nobody needs to lie on these dudes who already have everything on their side.

This is the same area where they removed their badges to keep from being identified for if/when they used violence against peaceful protestors...

The same place that brought out tanks and dogs...

The same place that is in the process of covering up a murder for a cop where there are SEVERAL eyewitnesses AND video of the aftermath PLUS sound of it actually happening, and a ballistic report that proves everything.

Doesn't take long at all to empty a mag. I shoot my 9 all the time. As unpopular as this may sound. If a person is shooting at me, im going to keep shooting until there isn't the slightest indication the person is still alive. When a person is firing shots at you, it's either you die or they die.
BUT like I said in my previous comment. IF the guy shot at the cop or anyone else, he deserved to die. Simple as that. If he didn't shoot, then that's another story.
