Tony Stewart Strikes driver during race after he gets out of car

Dude ran out into the middle of the road, the damn race is still going on.

I mean from what I say it didn't look on purpose I don't get what dude was thinking running out there like that
 
Tyler Graves, a sprint-car racer and friend of Ward's, told Sporting News in a phone interview that he was sitting in the Turn 1 grandstands and saw everything that happened.

"Tony pinched him into the frontstretch wall, a racing thing," Graves said. "The right rear tire went down, he spun on the exit of (Turn) 2. They threw the caution and everything was toned down. Kevin got out of his car. … He was throwing his arms up all over the place at Tony for most of the corner.

"I know Tony could see him. I know how you can see out of these cars. When Tony got close to him, he hit the throttle. When you hit a throttle on a sprint car, the car sets sideways. It set sideways, the right rear tire hit Kevin, Kevin was sucked underneath and was stuck under it for a second or two and then it threw him about 50 yards."

it's not uncommon for them to make a show of some sort outside of their car as cars are passing by, if they feel that another driver hasn't raced them cleanly and they get wrecked. The course goes under caution and the driver will sometimes walk out like that to make a gesture or throw something at another driver.
 
So he fishtailed and the rear of the car took him out?

Hopefully the reports aren't true about Ward.

If it is my first thought is involuntary manslaughter. This truly is a sad incident.
 
Rip. Watching the vid makes it clear it was intentional. Tony gassed it to make the cars rear swing right when he got up to ward. You can hear it in the video.

I don't think he intended to hit him but he was trying to intentionally spook him or cut the car close at him and ended up hitting and killing him
 
Yo the kid is dead this is crazy no way. I can't even look at the video anymore knowing we just watched he life end :smh:
 
One thing is for sure..this will be the most talked topic for weeks. What happens to stewart could eventually be huge

Nah so dude is just gonna get out the car, walk on to a race track while a race is going on. And doesnt expect to get hit?!?!?! Wow smh i dont wish death on anybody but that was real stupid by kevin ward
