10 Show Time Is Illmatic Tour

Saw this a few years ago at Rock the Bells. One of the best sets I've seen. Sucks there's no NYC date though

Word! It's baffling he isn't performing in the city. Oh well, I'll be in the building October 4th for that D.C. show. I missed his Kennedy Center performance, I will not mias this one.

I'll probably be there. It's pretty cool he's premiering his movie before he goes on stage. That's different. I wonder if he's just doing Illmatic or if he's going other songs afterwards.

According to the article it's just the Illmatic album, front to back. I hope he has a live band.

I've never been to the Lincoln Theater, can any DMV NTers she'd light on what the venues like?

Damn I thought hes BEEN touring for the albums anniversary, although I havent made any of them. No NY show? that link is dead I think

Can't wait to see him October 18th

Saw him perform Illmatic a couple years ago at Rock the Bells, one of the best live shows I've ever seen and hopefully this will be just as great

Trying to buy two tickets but it keeps telling me they don't have enough to fulfill my order :smh:

I had to get my tickets one at a time. I was in for the presale in DC. It wouldn't allow me to get two tickets so I got one and hoped I got another close to the same area. It took me like 20 minutes but I got two seats that are one seat apart. This will be my second time this year watching Nas perform Illmatic. First one was at the Kennedy Center :pimp:

I'll pass.  Seen Nas live 4 times.  Have no interest in watching him struggle to remember his lyrics for a 5th time.

Nas' set for the last 3 years has including performing Illmatic, some Stillmatic, and some cuts from It Was Written. First time he did Illmatic in its entirety was at Rock The Bells 3 or 4 years ago at Governor's Island. Dude has literally been milking Illmatic for the last 3 years. Saw him in June 2014 and he did the same set from 3 years ago. Great show if you've never seen him before or if you haven't seen him do Illmatic. If not, easy pass cause its the same 1 hour and 15 min set you saw him do last time. Cept now he brings out a Henny bottle since they're sponsoring him, lol.

thinking about going if I can get tickets for 50- never seen him before... is it worth it?
Not at all.  If you are a huge Nas fan like I used to be, dont go to one of his shows.  If his inability to put on a good show doesnt completely ruin his image/legacy for you, it will certainly tarnish it some (like it has for me).
