Jackie Robinson West Little League World Series.

This is something positive for the city of Chicago. Watching this all black baseball team compete for the LLWS. i am rooting for this kids to win it. At least they are competing . They won yesterday 12-2. They play again on Sunday at 2pm.
 
Last time was '83, right? Kids were smacking the ball out the park yesterday. I like Jackie Robinson West and the Mo'ne Davis storylines.
 
Speaking of the LLWS, this Mo'Ne Davis can flat-out play ball. Girl out there throwing 70 mph :wow: Unreal. She's creeping into the Danny Almonte hype territory. I usually don't give 2 craps about the LLWS, but if I get some time and Philly is playing, I'm gonna tune in.
 
I watched the Jackie Robinson West game vs Indiana to go to the LLWS. Fun team to watch. Pitcher was mowing them down the last couple of innings.

yea I've been following them cause for one they're from chicago and like you said it's something positive......also dope that they're all black since baseball popularity is dropping within the black community

Yes since 1983. Pierce Jones was the man the other day. They need to tighten up their defense though. They play tomorrow 1pm CT

With all the violence thats going on in chicago. This is a good look for Chicago. Something positive from the Youth. Chicago is really a basketball city.

south korea and puerto rico with the beamball war going. think it was like 4 HBPs total
kid from SK took a step like he was gonna charge at the big kid from PR after getting plunked :lol:

Man watching them made me kinda sad thinking about how strong the baseball community was in East Oakland just a decade ago with players like Dontrelle Willis, Jimmy Rollins, and Tyson Ross always coming up through the ranks and now it's basically dead. Sad stuff.

that rhode island coach is everything right about sports
dude always stays positive and has a genuine care for his kids
that speech after they kids loss got me shedding a tear :frown:

I kinda got emotional when i seen the special on ABC about these Africian American kids playing baseball. I am glad they pulled it off last night. RI Coach is a great guy. He showedclass last night after they lost. He was great.
 
I wanna see PA and Chi in the USA title game

that lead off from Chi .. that coach knows exactly what he is doing. My coach back in the day used to play us the same way. Had 3 home run hitters start the line up off get that early jump. nothing can crush a kids spirits then getting jacked first batter of a game. I know cuz ive done and had it done a few times back then :lol:

NV is pretty tough. they smacked around a very good Norcal team to get into the LLWS

lil man from mexico 4'8 hit a bomb to dead center the other day :smokin

Lil League World Series aint bad this year, i was rooting for them Chicago boys last night :pimp: ...that fat kid on Rhode Island is a hitter tho, hr's and all that
 
Ed Howard the SS for JRW is a smooth SS. he play that position like Jeter.Great little league SS. That Closer is a beast. them kids can't catch up with his fast ball. I hope Pierce Jones is ok.
